When and why do wrinkles occur around the eyes?
The epidermal layer in the periorbital region is very thin, about 0.5 mm, which is almost four times smaller than in any part of the face. In addition, the skin around the eyes has virtually no subcutaneous fat, sebaceous and sweat glands. The collagen fibers in this area form a sparse mesh structure that is quickly destroyed and slowly restored. All this contributes to the early formation of wrinkles.
It is believed that for most people, the first shallow wrinkles in the periorbital area appear at 25-30 years of age. But this is very generalized data. Sometimes the first signs of aging can appear at an earlier age.
The appearance of wrinkles is influenced by many factors, including:
- hereditary predisposition to early skin aging;
- features of the anatomical structure of the face, in particular deep-set eyes, drooping upper eyelids, drooping eyebrows;
- dry skin;
- the presence of autoimmune and/or endocrine diseases that affect cellular metabolic processes, which leads to a slowdown in the production of elastin and collagen in tissues;
- unhealthy lifestyle, frequent stress, poor sleep and inadequate rest, chronic fatigue;
- unbalanced nutrition leads to the development of vitamin deficiency and a lack of microelements important for the skin;
- bad habits (smoking, alcohol, drugs);
- poor ecology, in particular, living in megacities or industrial regions with heavily polluted air, due to which the body does not receive enough oxygen;
- the presence of chronic diseases, especially liver pathologies;
- insufficient or improper care of the skin in the eye area, use of low-quality cosmetics or those not intended for the care of the paraorbital area;
- excessive passion for decorative cosmetics, improper application of makeup or use of low-quality products;
- excessive facial expressions;
- unfavorable external influences: significant temperature changes, chapping, especially cold or sea air, excessive exposure to sunlight or very dry air;
- professional activities, such as working at a computer or with small parts, when the eye muscles are under constant tension;
- myopia, since people with poor vision have to constantly squint;
- sleeping on a very high or low pillow, which leads to an uncomfortable position during rest, which disrupts normal blood circulation in the facial skin.
But even if you follow all the rules for caring for the skin around the eyes and lead a healthy lifestyle, sooner or later age-related changes will begin to occur, as a result of which the secretion of collagen and elastin proteins decreases, the layer of subcutaneous fat becomes thinner, the secretion of the sebaceous glands decreases, and the skin becomes flabby. , saggy, wrinkles and furrows form.
Types of wrinkles around the eyes
As a rule, the first wrinkles in the form of “crow’s feet” appear in the outer corners of the eyes at 25-30 years of age. Deep wrinkles form at the age of 30-40. This process develops gradually and reaches a peak at 55-60 years.
According to the degree of severity, they are distinguished:
- superficial wrinkles
, they appear the very first and form in the epidermis area. These wrinkles include “crow’s feet”. - deep wrinkles
form in the dermal layer and subcutaneous fat. At the same time, the skin loses its firmness and elasticity, becomes dry, flabby, and begins to sag.
Due to their occurrence, there are three types of wrinkles:
- Facial - develop as a result of strong tension in the facial muscles and excessive facial expressions;
- Age-related - occur as a result of age-related changes in the structures of the skin;
- Gravitational - develop as a result of sagging skin due to loss of elasticity and firmness.
Also, regardless of the causes and severity, all wrinkles are divided into:
- dynamic - not visible when the facial muscles are relaxed;
- static - visually noticeable even in a calm state.
How to get rid of wrinkles around the eyes
The choice of treatment method for wrinkles in the periorbital zone directly depends on their type, the condition of the skin and muscular frame of the face, the presence of concomitant diseases and the individual characteristics of the patient’s body. After a thorough diagnosis of the problem area, a specialist may suggest one or more treatment methods.
Contouring around the eyes
With the help of contour plastic surgery, you can correct tear troughs and remove crow's feet. For these purposes, special fillers based on hyaluronic acid are used. The specialist selects a specific filler individually for each patient.
There are quite a lot of filler manufacturers on the market for cosmetic products, including those specializing in products for correcting the area around the eyes. Among the most famous:
- Amaline line, made in Russia.
- Teosyal line, made in Switzerland. Particularly noteworthy from this line is the Redensity II filler, created on the basis of hyaluronic acid of non-animal origin and a high degree of purification. Redensity II also contains a complex of vitamins and minerals necessary to nourish the skin and stimulate its regeneration. The filler is designed to correct nasolacrimal and palpebromalar grooves, remove crow's feet, help improve the color of the periorbital area, eliminate swelling and hernias on the eyelids.
- Restylane line Restylane, made in Russia. Restylane Touch fillers are used for the area around the eyes.
- Juvederm line Juvederm from the American company Allergan. For superficial wrinkles, use Juvederm Ultra 2 gel and Juvederm Hydrate filler. Medicines can cause allergies, so before using them it is necessary to conduct an allergy test.
- Princess line from the Australian pharmaceutical company. holding CROMA. The fillers of this line are made using a special SMART technology and allow you to achieve a long-lasting rejuvenating effect.
- Filler Surgiderm, made in France. Surgilift®Plus gel is used to eliminate fine wrinkles.
- Filler Ellanse from the Dutch company Aqtis Medikal.

The essence of contouring is the introduction of a filler under the wrinkle, which fills the defect, smoothes the skin and thereby eliminates the aesthetic defect. Fillers are injected using a very delicate needle or cannula. Anesthesia is used in rare cases. The whole procedure takes about an hour. No special preparation is required for the CP; three days before it, it is enough not to take alcohol, aspirin and drugs based on it, not to visit the solarium and not to sunbathe.
Hyaluronic acid (HA), on the basis of which fillers are created, is a natural component of the human intercellular matrix, including the skin. HA plays an important role in the process of tissue regeneration and the synthesis of the correct chains of collagen and elastin proteins. It also attracts and holds a large number of water molecules. Filler injections provide a rejuvenating effect due to intensive hydration of the problem area and stimulation of collagen and elastin synthesis.
Advantages of contour plastic surgery of the paraorbital zone:
- the rejuvenating effect is noticeable immediately after the procedure;
- a quick, painless and safe method for correcting wrinkles of varying severity;
- actual absence of complications;
- a small number of contraindications;
- very short rehabilitation period;
- long lasting results;
- simple preparatory period;
- the method does not violate or change facial expressions;
- fillers have a natural base for the skin structure.
The only drawback of contour plastic surgery is that over time, six months to a year after correction, the filler will naturally biodegrade and a repeat procedure will be required.
Rehabilitation period
After contouring, you cannot visit the sauna, bathhouse or solarium for a week. It is also necessary to follow the specialist’s recommendations for the use of cosmetics throughout the entire recovery period.
Complications
Contour plastic surgery has a minimal number of complications, which in most cases can be avoided with proper preparation for the procedure and high qualifications of the doctor. After the session, bruises, swelling, and redness may appear. In the first weeks, swelling of the corrected area may be observed due to an uneven decline in swelling. Usually after 1-2 weeks all side effects go away on their own.
Contraindications
- skin diseases on the face;
- autoimmune diseases;
- infectious diseases in the active phase;
- herpes in the active phase;
- pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Botulinum therapy
Botulinum toxin, or botulinum toxin, Botox is one of the most poisonous organic toxins known to science. It is synthesized by the anaerobic bacterium Clostridium botulinum, which causes the deadly disease botulism. However, despite the high toxicity of Botox, back in the 70s of the last century, ophthalmologist Alan Scott began using this poison in microdoses to treat blepharospasm.
Subsequently, botulinum toxin began to be used in the treatment of other spastic syndromes and diseases leading to spasms of striated muscles, sphincter muscles, as well as for the treatment of hyperactivity of the exocrine glands. The therapeutic effect is achieved by blocking nerve impulses with neurotoxin, which leads to relaxation of muscle fibers. The use of botulinum toxin in cosmetology is based on this same action.
To eliminate wrinkles in the periorbital area, botulinum toxin is injected into the orbicularis oculi muscle and/or nasal muscles. This leads to the development of minor muscle paralysis, as a result of which wrinkles and folds are smoothed out and leveled out. The duration of action of Botox is 6 months, after which the procedure must be repeated. When botulinum toxin is reintroduced, its effect is extended to 8 months.
Preparation for the procedure is the same as for contour plastic surgery (title of the article is a link)
How is the procedure performed?
To identify injection points, the specialist marks them with a marker. After this, the doctor asks the patient to grimace a little to identify additional injection points.
Then a drug containing a microdose of Botox is injected directly into the muscle responsible for the appearance of the wrinkle. The injections are performed with a very delicate needle. Anesthesia is used in rare cases. On average, 4-6 injections are required on each side. The whole procedure takes about 20-30 minutes.
After Botox injections
Botulinum toxin begins to act gradually a few days after its administration. The full effect of treatment is achieved after 1-2 weeks and lasts up to six months.
Recommendations
- frown and wince more so that the drug is distributed as evenly as possible;
- two weeks after the procedure you cannot visit the sauna, bathhouse, swimming pool, solarium, and sunbathing is not recommended;
- you should avoid physical exercise and massage sessions for two weeks;
- 3-4 hours after the procedure you cannot take a horizontal position or bend over;
- do not touch the injection area;
- It is not recommended to use decorative cosmetics within 24 hours after the procedure;
- reduce the consumption of liquids, salty and spicy foods for a week after the procedure;
- you need to remember that some antibiotics and B vitamins contribute to the rapid removal of botulinum toxin from the body;
- Chemical peeling can be performed no earlier than two weeks after the procedure.
Contraindications
- the presence of skin infections and other skin diseases in the active phase;
- exacerbation of chronic diseases;
- infectious diseases, influenza, ARVI, etc.;
- taking antibiotics and blood thinners;
- pregnancy and lactation;
- severe myopia;
- endocrine diseases;
- low blood clotting;
- individual intolerance.
Side effects
Botox injections into the periorbital area are a complex procedure that requires high skills and knowledge from a specialist. Violation of the procedure technique, incorrectly selected drug or its dosage can lead to the development of dangerous complications. That is why it is important to be very careful when choosing a clinic and specialist.
Minor swelling, redness of the injection site, tolerable pain, minor itching and small hematomas at the injection site are a normal reaction of the body to Botox injection. In rare cases, the temperature may rise, the heart rate may increase, nausea and headache may occur. All these phenomena pass after a short time.
If a medical error is made, the following may occur:
- facial asymmetry;
- drooping eyelid or eyebrow;
- difficulty opening or closing the eyelid;
- swelling of the eyelid;
- violation of facial expressions.
Botox injections are recommended for mature patients with fairly deep wrinkles and folds. It should be borne in mind that if the procedure is performed more than twice a year, the body begins to produce antibodies to botulinum toxin, and the therapeutic effect decreases. Also, in extremely rare cases, there are people whose bodies are not sensitive to the neurotoxin.
Mesotherapy
A method for solving aesthetic problems by introducing various drugs into the middle layers of the skin (mesoderm area) was developed and put into practice back in 1958 by Dr. Michel Pistor. It was he who gave this method the name mesotherapy, and also determined its main direction: “little, rarely and in the right place.”
Unlike gels for biorevitalization, consisting of pure hyaluronic acid, meso-cocktails for injection, in addition to HA, contain other active ingredients. This makes it possible to select the drug individually for each patient, depending on the needs of her skin.
Intradermal administration of special preparations (mesococtails) into the periorbital area allows you to solve the following problems:
- smooth out facial wrinkles;
- reduce puffiness and eliminate dark circles under the eyes;
- moisturize the skin and improve its color;
- restore firmness and elasticity to the skin.
For mesotherapy of the periorbital area, two types of preparations specially developed specifically for the skin around the eyes are used:
- meso-cocktails to solve specific problems, for example to eliminate circles under the eyes and reduce puffiness;
- meso cocktails for rejuvenation and increasing skin elasticity.
Advantages and disadvantages of mesotherapy
The obvious advantages of eliminating aesthetic problems in the periorbital area through intradermal injections are the following factors:
- the presence of meso-cocktails specially designed specifically for the skin around the eyes;
- the ability to simultaneously solve several problems (for example, reduce swelling and increase skin elasticity);
- additional rejuvenating effect due to the execution technique - activation of skin regeneration is partly due to the violation of its integrity during injections;
- a short recovery period that does not require special measures.
The disadvantages of mesotherapy include its duration due to the need for several procedures.
How is mesotherapy performed for the skin around the eyes?
At the beginning of the mesotherapy session, the correction area is thoroughly cleaned and antiseptically treated. According to individual indications (low pain threshold in the patient), local anesthesia can be used.
Then the specialist performs the required number of intradermal injections of the mesococktail. After which the skin around the eyes is once again treated with antiseptics.
All manipulations take no more than half an hour. To achieve the desired effect, as a rule, it is necessary to conduct several sessions (on average 5-7) with an interval of 7-10 days.
Contraindications and side effects
Mesotherapy of the skin around the eyes cannot be carried out in the same cases as the administration of botulinum toxin, as well as in cases of high sensitivity of the skin to injections, its tendency to scarring, or in case of individual intolerance to individual components of the meso-cocktail or the drug as a whole.
With proper selection of meso-cocktail and correct execution of manipulations, the occurrence of negative consequences is unlikely. In the first hours after the procedure, side effects associated with the technique of drug administration may be observed, such as redness of the skin, hematomas and slight swelling, which quickly disappear.
Preparation and rehabilitation
For the procedure to be as effective as possible, a few days before the mesotherapy session you must:
- stop taking certain medications (such as anticoagulants or aspirin-based medications);
- Avoid exposure to external unfavorable factors on the skin that can cause irritation: inflammation, chapping, itching or flaking.
As a rule, the side effects described above disappear within 24 hours after the administration of the mesococktail, but a full response of the skin after injections takes a little longer (up to a week).
During the rehabilitation period after mesotherapy you cannot:
- during the day - wash with hot water;
- for two days - use decorative cosmetics; be in direct sunlight (be sure to wear sunglasses before going outside);
- during the week - visit steam rooms, saunas, solariums; rub and scratch the skin in the periorbital area even if there is discomfort.
Biorevitalization around the eyes
Biorevitalization is a method of non-surgical rejuvenation using injections into the skin of special gels created on the basis of hyaluronic acid. To achieve the maximum therapeutic effect, it is necessary to undergo at least three sessions with an interval of 1-2 weeks. The anti-aging effect lasts for about six months; in the future, to maintain the result, it will be enough to undergo only one session every 6 months.
The goal of the method is to start the process of synthesis of your own collagen and elastin in the skin, reduce the rate of their breakdown and achieve good hydration of the problem area. As a result, a strong lifting and rejuvenating effect is achieved. Unlike mesotherapy, biorevitalization requires a significantly smaller number of sessions to achieve the desired result.
How does the procedure work?
During an in-person consultation, the cosmetologist determines the condition of the skin, collects anamnesis, selects a drug together with the patient and draws up a plan for further treatment, taking into account the wishes of the woman and the individual characteristics of her body.
You should come to biorevitalization without makeup. Immediately before the session itself, the specialist once again examines the skin, determines the required amount of the injected drug and marks the injection points. Injections for biorevitalization of the periorbital area can be performed only under the eyes or around them.
After this, the correction area is disinfected and, if necessary, treated with anesthetic cream. At the end of the procedure, the injection site is re-treated with an antiseptic and anti-inflammatory cream. The entire session lasts about 30 minutes.
Contraindications and side effects
Contraindications for biorevitalization are the same as for mesotherapy.
If the procedure is carried out correctly, then there are no serious complications. All side effects, such as swelling, small lumps in the injection area, slight numbness of the skin and possibly bruising, go away after some time, a maximum of 2-3 days.
Preparation and rehabilitation
Preparation for the session is the same as for any injection procedures described above.
Recommendations for the recovery period are similar to those given for mesotherapy, in addition:
- You cannot use cosmetics for 6 hours after the session;
- For 2 weeks after the procedure, you cannot visit the sauna, swimming pool, solarium or sunbathe.
Laser thermolifting around the eyes
Laser thermolifting, or IPL thermolifting, is a hardware-based aesthetic cosmetology procedure in which deep layers of skin (up to 7 mm) are heated to the required temperature using a laser beam of optimal purity.
The purpose of the procedure is to activate microcirculation of blood and lymph in the treated area, which will inevitably lead to improved metabolism in tissues, stimulation of the renewal of old cells with new ones and the production of one’s own collagen. As a result, skin rejuvenation occurs: wrinkles are smoothed out, the tone and elasticity of the epidermis improves.
Advantages and disadvantages of laser thermolifting of the periorbital area
IPL thermolifting has many advantages, namely:
- this is one of the safest methods of rejuvenation of the periorbital area;
- can be combined with many other cosmetic procedures (cavitation, biorevitalization, contour plastic surgery, etc.);
- rejuvenation is carried out without damaging the skin;
- there is no risk of developing infections;
- the procedure can be carried out at any time;;
- affordable price;
- the result lasts up to two years;
- no pain.
The only disadvantage of IPL thermolifting is the need for several sessions to achieve the desired effect and consolidate it.
How the procedure works
Before the session, the doctor at the ROSH clinic examines the skin, collects anamnesis, finds out about the presence of hypersensitivity to heat or some drugs, and asks the patient what result he wants to achieve. After this, the specialist draws up an individual treatment plan, calculates the intensity of the beam, the depth of exposure and the number of sessions. Careful preparation for the procedure is the key to safety and achieving maximum effect from the course of therapy.
Immediately before the procedure, the doctor applies a special cooling gel, which is also contact, that is, it helps conduct the laser beam into the tissue. After this, the specialist begins to move a special attachment of a physiotherapeutic device over the correction area in a certain way, that is, to influence the tissue using a laser beam. The patient does not feel any discomfort, only slight warmth. As a rule, the first sessions are carried out at low radiation power, which increases in subsequent sessions.
After the procedure, the doctor removes the remaining gel and applies a special cooling mask to reduce hyperemia. The whole procedure takes 10-20 minutes.
Contraindications and side effects
Laser thermolifting has the same contraindications as other aesthetic cosmetology procedures, and is also not performed in cases of skin hypersensitivity to high temperatures, cancer and/or arrhythmia. In addition, IPL thermolifting cannot be combined with other cosmetic procedures, the effect of which is based on the action of thermal or light radiation. If aggressive chemical, laser or mechanical peeling has previously been carried out, then laser thermal lifting can be performed no earlier than two weeks later.
It is also necessary to take into account that laser exposure accelerates the biodegradation of previously administered botulinum toxin A and hyaluronic acid-based fillers. The previously introduced polymer gel can also be significantly deformed under the influence of high temperatures.
In the Russian Federation, thermal lifting in the area around the eyes is allowed only with a few laser devices. The ROSH clinic is equipped with the latest generation Sciton device, which allows the procedure to be carried out with maximum precision, which completely eliminates the development of any complications.
Immediately after a laser thermolifting session, a slight hyperemia appears on the treated area of skin, which goes away on its own after a few hours.
Preparation and rehabilitation
Laser thermolifting in the area around the eyes does not require special preparation, but you should definitely protect the skin from exposure to ultraviolet rays two weeks before the procedure.
After IPL thermolifting, you cannot visit saunas, steam baths, swimming pools, solariums, sunbathe or take hot baths (warm showers only) for two weeks.
Caring for the skin around the eyes
After any of the above procedures, to consolidate the therapeutic effect, as well as to prevent the formation of wrinkles, proper care of the skin around the eyes is of great importance. Taking into account the characteristics of the dermis in this area, you should be especially careful when choosing cosmetics, taking into account all the individual characteristics of the skin and previously performed procedures.
The main requirements for caring for the periorbital area:
- due to the peculiarities of the anatomical structure of the skin in this area, it needs more intensive moisturizing with special products (ordinary day creams will not work);
- since the skin around the eyes is the most sensitive, more thorough protection from the sun and the influence of weather factors (cold, heat, wind, etc.) is necessary;
- due to the structural features of the collagen network in the dermis, it is necessary to observe the correct direction of finger movement when applying products or performing a massage;
- It is necessary to regularly and properly cleanse the skin around the eyes, including when removing makeup;
- it is necessary to choose the right decorative cosmetics and know how to apply them;
- to prevent overwork of the eye muscles, you need to monitor your work and rest schedule and do appropriate exercises;
Doctors at the ROSH clinic will diagnose your skin, draw up the right plan for caring for the periorbital area, and recommend decorative cosmetics in accordance with your wishes and individual skin characteristics.
Gymnastics for the eyes
A good means of prevention and an additional method of eliminating aesthetic defects in the periorbital zone is the regular performance of special gymnastics. It can consist of simple exercises such as:
- rotation of the eyeballs with open and closed eyelids;
- focusing the gaze alternately on the tip of the nose and the bridge of the nose;
- looking into the distance with eyes wide open for 5 seconds followed by rest;
- light pressure with the palm of your hand on the eyelid with your eyes closed;
- blinking movements with drooping eyelids with relaxation after several “winks”;
- “drawing” circles, figures of eight, vertical and horizontal lines with the gaze;
- resistance to light pressure with fingers simultaneously on the corners of the eyes and the middle of the eyebrow;
- rolling the eyes upward followed by relaxation, etc.
Facial muscle training can be done at any time and anywhere by choosing 10-15 free minutes to focus on doing gymnastics. It should be kept in mind that the same exercises may not be equally beneficial for everyone. For example, if the cause of the formation of a wrinkle is overstrain of a muscle, then additional load on it during exercise will, at best, not produce results, and at worst, it will cause harm.
When independently selecting exercises, you need to be guided by the principle: performing gymnastics should not cause discomfort. It’s better to consult with a specialist who will create an individual complex of facial gymnastics, taking into account anatomical features, skin condition and the causes of aesthetic problems in the periorbital area.
What to do if wrinkles appear under the eyes: effective actions
Primary changes associated with age may become noticeable in adolescence. At the age of 25-27, the synthesis of one’s own elastin and collagen slowly but systematically begins to decrease, and other processes in cellular structures slow down.
There are many methods that show high effectiveness without radical surgery. Some procedures can be performed at home without the help of a cosmetologist. Expression and age folds are eliminated using professional methods, including surgical ones if the wrinkles are deep.
What can help with wrinkles under the eyes at home?
What cosmetic products prevent the appearance of age-related and facial defects, and also reduce existing ones:
- Corrective compositions for the eyelids to be used in the morning and evening.
- Anti-aging products. They are distributed in the direction from the outer corners to the center along lines of less stretching of the dermis without pressure.
- Night creams. It is recommended to apply them at least an hour before going to bed, this is mandatory if they are highly concentrated.
It is important that the drugs do not come into contact with the mucous membranes. Otherwise, irritation and allergic reactions cannot be avoided.
Cosmetology: how to remove expression wrinkles under the eyes and get rid of serious age-related changes
All procedures can be divided into 2 large groups:
- Hardware correction techniques. This includes laser resurfacing, ultrasonic lifting, thread insertion, and chemical peeling. As a result, a radical effect is performed on the layers of the epidermis, complete cellular renewal is stimulated, and natural collagen and elastin cells are produced. The effect is long lasting, up to 3-4 years.
- Injection correction techniques. These are botulinum toxin injections, biorevitalization, meso, etc. Wrinkles are eliminated for some time (up to six months), or their severity decreases.
- Non-aggressive cosmetic and low-equipment techniques: massage correction of age-related changes with the inclusion of skincare cosmetics (masks, serums, creams, etc.), hardware procedures (including iontophoresis, microcurrents, electroporation).
Despite the relative safety and painlessness, each technique has its own characteristics and contraindications. How to get rid of wrinkles around the eyes and how to remove other age-related changes must be decided together with a cosmetologist on an individual basis.
Mesotherapy
The specialist injects special formulations containing a certain concentration of vitamins, minerals and other substances essential for cells. This is the most gentle way to rejuvenate the skin, which allows you to cope with other imperfections (scarring, acne, stretch marks).
After completing the course, tissue elasticity increases, new collagen and elastin are produced, and the face acquires a healthy shade. Dark circles and bags go away, sagging disappears.
Botulinum therapy
Botox injections can remove dynamic wrinkles of the lower eyelid, as well as the so-called “crow’s feet” at the outer corners of the eyes. Botulinum toxin is injected into the muscle fibers, which promotes relaxation. The surface becomes smooth.
Biorevitalization
A favorite procedure for most patients in cosmetology clinics. It is safe, does not cause pain and does not require a long recovery period. Already 7-10 days after an effective beauty injection, you can notice good results. The skin becomes smooth, elastic, and new collagen is actively produced. The folds are no longer visible to others.
After injection of the drug, swelling, redness, and skin rash may occur. Unpleasant symptoms gradually disappear within 2-3 days.
Clinical methods
These are more radical methods of eliminating skin defects that require a subsequent recovery period. The result is noticeable immediately, it is long-lasting and lasting.
Ways to effectively remove wrinkles under the eyes from a cosmetologist:
- Blepharoplasty. This is a surgical operation during which excess tissue that forms in the lower eyelid area is removed. Thanks to the procedure, flabbiness and sagging of the skin is eliminated. After rehabilitation, traces of the intervention become almost invisible.
- Laser resurfacing. It can be superficial and deep. In the first case, a beam of laser light targets specific cells that stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. The second involves removing the outer layer of the dermis for its subsequent renewal.
- Golden threads. Special biocompatible materials are introduced under the skin to create a thread frame. After the manipulations, a long recovery period is not required, the method is minimally traumatic and painless, but the effect lasts for a long time.
Preventing wrinkles around the eyes
Following simple recommendations will help prevent the appearance of wrinkles around the eyes and other aesthetic defects in this area.
- Regularly perform self-massage and other home treatments to care for the delicate skin of the periorbital area. When applying creams and decorative cosmetics, as well as during other manipulations, you need to touch the skin very carefully, without excessive force and strictly along the massage lines. If possible, undergo a course of facial massage and physiotherapy with a cosmetologist twice a year.
- Thoroughly clean the skin around the eyes with special products. Under no circumstances should you go to bed without removing your makeup.
- Eat properly and nutritiously, controlling not only calorie content, but also the composition of dishes. The diet should always include foods containing carotenoids, vitamins E, C, A.
- At any time of the year, protect the skin around the eyes from the sun. Before going outside, apply high-quality and carefully selected sunscreens. Don't neglect wearing sunglasses.
- Visit an ophthalmologist in a timely manner, especially if you have myopia or farsightedness, wear glasses that match your vision (if necessary), and follow all doctor’s recommendations.
- Drink enough liquid.
- Control your facial expressions.
- Maintain a routine, avoiding overwork and chronic lack of sleep.
At the ROSH clinic, an individual program for eliminating and preventing skin problems is developed for each patient. Comprehensive correction of aesthetic defects - maximum results in minimal time.
Blepharoplasty against bags under the eyes
You can remove “bags” under the eyes (fatty hernias) in one go using lower eyelid blepharoplasty. Removed fat packets do not form again in these places. During this surgery, the plastic surgeon can also remove excess stretched skin.
The result of blepharoplasty. The work of plastic surgeon Khatri Amit Rajendrovich!
With the help of eyelid blepharoplasty, you can not only remove “bags” under the eyes, but also solve a wide range of problems:
- remove excess skin of the upper eyelids;
- eliminate drooping corners of the eyes;
- correct asymmetry of the upper eyelids
- correct too narrow eye shape;
- remove wrinkles and folds around the eyes (“crow’s feet”).
In classic blepharoplasty, the plastic surgeon makes tiny incisions under the eyelashes. Therefore, postoperative sutures are hidden and unnoticeable to others.
Transconjunctival blepharoplasty
performed
without incisions
, however, the operation has a more limited range of aesthetic indications. If you have excess skin, this method may not be suitable.
