Facial oil is the king among all my skincare products.
I use them in home care almost every day, alternating or supplementing my face cream with them, I especially love this combo during the cold season, when the skin triples its natural lipid protection and asks for help. By the way, this can happen to any type of skin - normal, dry and even oily or combination - like mine.
I’ve heard a lot from ordinary people and even from professional cosmetologists that oils are too heavy for the skin, clog pores, “the skin doesn’t breathe” underneath them, etc.
In my opinion, such an opinion can be formed for two reasons - either they choose the wrong products, or they use them incorrectly.
Therefore, I’ll tell you about my personal experience and share my own rating of the best facial oils , many of which I have already written separate reviews on on my blog. There is too much information on the Internet invented by someone who, it seems, has never held normal oil in his hands, let alone applied it to his face.
Jojoba oil for the skin around the eyes
Not all fans of this oil know that it is isolated from parts of an evergreen shrub that grows in the deserts of North America. Cosmetologists around the world value this product not only for its nutritional value, but also for its unique composition. Jojoba oil contains a very rare substance – eicosenoic acid. It helps improve cellular metabolism, and is therefore highly recommended for women with aging skin. In addition, it promotes the natural regeneration of skin tissue, including after injury. Finally, eicosenoic acid gives the skin elasticity and restores its former turgor.
In addition to eicosenoic acid, this oil also contains other valuable fatty acids, for example, nervonic, oleic, behenic and others. These fatty acids in jojoba oil, applied to the skin of the eyelids, serve as excellent protection against exposure to sunlight, from too low temperatures, and from large amounts of salt dissolved in the air. The collagen present in jojoba oil is identical to what human skin contains, and therefore is well accepted by our body. Tocopherol, or vitamin E, is a recognized master in the fight against wrinkles. Its content in jojoba oil is also very high.
There are several recipes for masks with the addition of jojoba oil that most effectively improve the condition of the skin around the eyes:
- Recipe 1. A teaspoon of jojoba oil is mixed with a tablespoon of mashed potatoes. The resulting mixture must be applied to the lower eyelid and washed off after ten minutes. This mask is effective against swelling and perfectly smoothes the skin of the eyelids;
- Recipe 2. Jojoba oil is mixed with castor oil in equal parts. This mixture must be applied in a thin layer to the lower and upper eyelids. There is no need to wash it off, and therefore it is advisable to carry out this procedure in the evenings. This mask produces a lifting effect on the skin around the eyes and nourishes it;
- Recipe 3. You need to take one part jojoba oil and two parts chamomile or calendula decoction, add a couple of drops of aloe juice. This mask is recommended for aging skin and also helps reduce inflammation.
Benefits of oils for skin

Cosmetologists consider oil the most natural and safe “transport” for vitamins, phospholipids and minerals. Oils have excellent “penetrating” abilities, are quickly absorbed and actively affect the upper layers of the epidermis and subcutaneous fat. Depending on the composition, oils can have a mild or pronounced anti-inflammatory, immunostimulating, firming, moisturizing, toning, and anti-cellulite effect on the skin.
Cosmetologists are unanimous - oils are useful. But - completely replacing creams with oils - day or night - means harming the skin!
Oils are a natural product, so they can cause allergies. They perfectly retain moisture in the skin - but they themselves are poorly absorbed, so they can clog pores, cause irritation and provoke “blackheads” on the face.
In their pure form, oils are used to care for the scalp and massage the face and body. It’s good to add them to creams and masks. But you shouldn’t leave the oil overnight instead of cream. It is important to observe moderation - otherwise a healthy and fragrant product may harm the skin.
You can choose an oil suitable for specific skin problems using the following table:
Essential oils and skin type | Skin problems | Action |

Soybean oil for dry, normal skin | Dryness, loss of tone, fatigue | Refreshes, moisturizes, saturates with vitamins |
Choose from the table the oil that best solves the problems of your skin type.
For example, soybean oil is in no way inferior to olive oil as a base oil. However, it is not recommended for use on oily facial skin, as soy can clog pores and provoke the appearance of comedones (“blackheads”).
Let's talk in more detail about the best oils for different skin types:
Castor oil for the skin around the eyes
Many women know the excellent benefits of castor oil on hair, eyebrows and eyelashes, but it can also be beneficial for the skin around the eyes. Castor oil contains a mixture of fatty acids, mainly oleic, linoleic and ricinoleic. The main advantage of castor oil is that it perfectly nourishes the skin and does not create an unpleasant film on its surface. With regular use of products containing castor oil, the skin of the eyelids will become more tightened and moisturized, and therefore it must be included in your cosmetic arsenal.
Here are some recipes for masks with castor oil:
- Recipe 1. You need to take castor and peach oils in equal parts. The mixture must be slightly heated, and for this you can simply rub the composition with your palms. The mass is applied to the skin of the eyelids or even the entire face. There is no need to wash it off, and therefore it is better to use this product in the evenings, an hour before going to bed. Just a month of daily use - and the skin will glow and radiate health and youth;
- Recipe 2. Mix two teaspoons of castor oil thoroughly with one yolk and apply the mixture to the skin of the face. This mask will perfectly moisturize and soothe dry, chapped skin. Cosmetologists recommend using it in winter, when the skin of the eyelids is especially sensitive;
- Recipe 3. Two tablespoons of cream must be mixed with a teaspoon of castor oil. The mixture can be applied to the entire face. A 10-minute application is enough to get rid of dark circles under the eyes, as well as moisturize and slightly whiten the skin.
When to use facial oil and can you use it every day?
“Facial oils can be used as needed. In general, they should be applied as a last step (after serum and/or moisturizer) but before SPF and makeup. And don’t forget about oil as the final skincare step in the evening,” the expert notes. It should be taken into account that the oil base does not interact well with SPF products - it can dissolve them. To be on the safe side, it is recommended to apply the oil at night.
While this product can certainly be used daily, you need to be careful not to let your skin become too dependent on it. "To avoid this, you should occasionally switch out your oil for an equally nourishing combination of ceramides and hyaluronic acid," says dermatologist Debbie Thomas.

Olive oil for the skin around the eyes
Olive oil is not only a healthy product that is used in many Mediterranean recipes, but it is also an excellent skin moisturizer. It has a particularly good effect on the delicate skin of the eyelids, and therefore can be recommended for women whose skin has already lost its elasticity. Cosmetologists call olive oil base oil, that is, it combines perfectly with various other, more active agents.
The main advantage of olive oil is its ability to heal wounds, which means it can be used even on inflamed or chapped skin. Unlike many other oils, it is extremely gentle and gentle. Ladies also note the ability of olive oil to restore skin turgor and increase its elasticity in a short time.
In cosmetology you can find many recipes for masks for the skin around the eyes with olive oil:
- Recipe 1. A tablespoon of honey and olive oil is mixed with one yolk. This mask should be applied to the skin of the face and left for 10-15 minutes. After the first use, you can notice a decrease in small wrinkles around the eyes, and after a month even large wrinkles will become less noticeable. The mask must be used three times a week;
- Recipe 2. You need to take an avocado and a banana, one at a time, mash, mix with two tablespoons of olive oil, and then add another 50 ml of sugar-free orange juice (it’s better to make it yourself). The resulting mixture must be applied to the face for 15 minutes and then washed off with warm water without soap to leave particles of nutritious fatty acids on the surface of the skin. In terms of its effect, this mask can be compared to a vitamin explosion - the result will not be long in coming. The skin is delicately cleansed, moisturized and invigorated. Wrinkles become less noticeable, the skin of the eyelids will take on a tightened appearance.
How to apply ether on your face
Pure undiluted ether is applied only in emergency cases and only spot-on. You can do this no more than 1-2 times in a row. This problem could be a ripening pimple or herpes blisters above the lip. You will definitely burn the skin over the pimple, and it will begin to peel off if you do this more often - the concentration of ether is too high.
Therefore, the main way to apply essential oils to the skin is to dilute them in vegetable oils. The following are suitable:
- almond;
- avocado;
- coconut;
- jojoba;
- pomegranate seeds;
- grape seeds;
- wheat germ;
- olive;
- argan oil;
- castor and others.
The standard proportion is 2-3 drops of ether per 5 ml of base (this is approximately 1 teaspoon). You can make a one-time mixture each time, but it is not a fact that you can use the entire teaspoon of oil at once. Therefore, you can make the amount of mixture larger - 1-2 tablespoons and use it more than once.
Using the proportion, mix 2-3 teaspoons of vegetable oil with ether or a mixture of complementary esters. Pour into a bottle using a funnel. The resulting solution can be applied to the face as a stand-alone product or added to masks. The mixture can be stored in the refrigerator for no longer than three weeks.
A pipette, brush, drip dispenser and measuring spoon complement the glass vials
Depending on the activity of the oil, and this can be determined by the brightness of the smell, the concentration may vary. Flower esters in recipes can be increased to 5 drops, while strong coniferous esters can be reduced. In any case, you should rely on common sense and the manufacturer’s recommendations on the packaging. And, of course, we are talking about using an oil that has successfully passed the allergy test for your skin.
Two more ways to use ether in skin care are to add an oil mixture with ether to homemade face masks and to enrich store-bought cosmetics by adding ether to them. In this method, cosmetics become the base for essential oil. It is often impossible to predict how compounds will interact. You need to enrich a small portion of cream or lotion and use it immediately. The proportion is the same: 1–2 drops of ether per 1/2 teaspoon of product.
You should not add essential oil to a large amount of cream at once - it is better to enrich a single portion each time
Contraindications and side effects
Please note that essential oils have a very powerful effect and require careful handling. They are not recommended for use by pregnant women, infants and animals. In large quantities, adverse reactions can occur even in a healthy person. Some oils cause nausea, skin irritation, and the active smell can cause a headache. Taking ether internally can cause poisoning. Esters are stored in dark, cool places inaccessible to children and animals. Buy esters only from trusted sellers: large manufacturers, pharmacies and cosmetic stores. Follow the manufacturer's instructions when using the oil.
Essential oils are volatile; they dissolve in alcohol because they contain it, as well as other potent components, such as phenols and aldehydes. That's why we check the skin's reaction to such a potent cocktail.
Testing ether for allergies
To check if an essential oil is right for you, you need to do a skin test. Thoroughly stir 1-2 drops of ether in a teaspoon of any vegetable oil. Using a cotton pad, transfer a small amount of the mixture to the skin of the inner forearm or ankle. Let it soak in and observe the area for two days. If there is no irritation, redness, itching or other typical intolerance symptoms within 48 hours, the ether can be used on your skin.
Almond oil for the skin around the eyes
Almond oil is an excellent cosmetic product that should definitely be in every woman's medicine cabinet. It contains large amounts of healthy fatty acids, fat-soluble vitamins, magnesium, calcium and other minerals. Almond oil promotes skin regeneration, and therefore can be used not only for the face, but also for lips, elbows, knees and even heels.
Its ability to reduce wrinkles, including deep ones, as well as nourish the skin due to the vegetable oils in its composition is best known. Almond oil is also popular due to its mild whitening effect. Older ladies will appreciate the light tonic effect, and therefore it can be used for aging skin.
Cosmetologists also use almond oil as a base for masks used to reduce wrinkles around the eyes:
- Recipe 1. 5 drops of almond oil are mixed with two teaspoons of ripe avocado pulp. The resulting pulp is distributed in the area of the lower eyelids and left for 5-10 minutes. After the first use, fine wrinkles will be smoothed out, and there will also be a noticeable reduction in the severity of circles under the eyes;
- Recipe 2. One yolk is mixed with half a teaspoon of almond oil and two tablespoons of honey. The resulting product must be applied to the skin around the eyes and gently massage, and then left for 5 minutes. This mask has a mild antiseptic effect, and therefore can be used for inflammation and irritation.
Essential, basic cosmetic oils: types, properties
All cosmetic oils are different from each other and “work”, giving different effects. This is because their composition is different, but always rich in useful microelements.
- NATURAL – the best natural “cosmetics” for skin of any age. It’s good to start using it from the age of 18-20. Its main advantage is the ability to retain moisture in the skin.
- ESSENTIAL - obtained by concentrating the ingredient in ether. They have a powerful internal and external effect on the body, because... have a strong and “medicinal” aroma.

Oils in cosmetology
Flaxseed oil for the skin around the eyes
The composition of flaxseed oil is noticeably different from other vegetable oils used in cosmetology. In addition to fatty acids and vitamins, it also contains proteins that significantly nourish weakened skin and also protect it from harmful environmental influences. This is what accounts for the pronounced rejuvenating effect of flaxseed oil.
With regular use of products with linseed oil, the skin is smoothed, toned and looks more youthful. Cosmetologists know its light lifting effect, which works most successfully in the area around the eyes.
It will also help, if necessary, regulate the secretion of subcutaneous fat, and therefore can be used even on skin with acne:
- Recipe 1. You need to moisten two pieces of gauze with linseed oil, place them on the lower eyelids and leave in this position for about 25-30 minutes. Such a simple recipe, if used regularly, will prove to be simply excellent - even old wrinkles will become less deep, the skin will look radiant and acquire a pleasant pink tint. This recipe is ideal for winter use;
- Recipe 2. You need to take equal parts of flaxseed, corn, olive and nut oils and lightly heat them in a water bath. Soak two cotton swabs with this mixture and place them on the lower eyelids. The miracle cure can be used twice a week for three months. The skin of the eyelids will become smoother, tightened, will no longer become thinner and acquire new wrinkles.
How skin ages
Our body changes throughout life: cells die and are restored. But with every decade they recover worse and worse. After 30 years, a person begins to lose 1–2% of muscle mass per year, even if he leads an active lifestyle. All tissues of the body suffer losses, thus, signs of age appear on the skin. We call it aging and we know that it cannot be stopped.
External signs of aging appear around age 25
Why signs of aging are visible on the skin:
- the fat layer decreases;
- bone mass decreases;
- connective tissue is destroyed.
Metabolism slows down in connective tissue. The building materials of our body are produced less and less: proteins (collagen and elastin) and polysaccharides (glycosaminoglycans). Roughly speaking, the aging process lies in the gradual loss of these components. What we can do? Just try to slow down aging. Often even improve the condition of the skin, rejuvenate it with the help of competent care.
Rosehip oil for the skin around the eyes
Rosehip is known to many people as a product high in vitamins. You can speak similarly favorably about rosehip oil. More than fifteen types of fatty acids can completely change the condition of the skin around the eyes. Linoleic and linolenic acids, contained in rosehip oil in large quantities, increase the protective forces of the epidermis. Vitamins take part in metabolic processes at the cellular level.
Due to the high activity of the substances contained in rosehip oil, cosmetologists often use it as the best base product when creating masks. A huge amount of vitamin A allows you to successfully cope with any age-related skin changes. Vitamin C, which is also abundant in this oil, protects skin cells around the eyes from free radicals and thereby prevents aging, and also helps saturate the cells with oxygen.
There is enough rosehip oil and vitamin E, which is a generally recognized vitamin of youth, and therefore women may not be afraid of wrinkles around the eyes:
- Recipe 1. A teaspoon of good nourishing cream and three drops of rosehip oil is an ideal composition for daily use in winter. Since in winter the amount of vitamins in a person’s diet is significantly reduced, this is reflected on the skin, and such a recipe can be a real salvation;
- Recipe 2. Mix one teaspoon of cream with the same amount of almond oil and add 4 drops of rosehip oil. This composition must be applied to the skin of the eyelids and left for 20-30 minutes. After this, the mask should be carefully removed with a cotton swab, but if possible, do not completely wash off the remaining product. This mask is an excellent whitening agent, and therefore can be used for dark circles under the eyes. Its regular use helps reduce wrinkles and swelling, the look will become clearer and more open.
How to choose anti-wrinkle oil
When choosing an anti-wrinkle oil, it is important to consider the degree of comedogenicity (from 0 to 5 points). This indicator indicates how capable the product is of clogging pores. Products with a zero comedogenic index are suitable for any skin type; they do not clog pores. The higher the number, the more caution they should be used by people with acne and other skin problems caused by clogged pores. However, please note that this information only applies to pure oils.
You should also select anti-wrinkle products based on your skin type. Most products are suitable for normal to dry skin. It is necessary to select them taking into account the individual reaction to certain components.
Combination and oily types of epidermis are characterized by increased sebum secretion, so it is necessary to use products marked “non-comedogenic.”
Problem skin often lacks linolenic and linoleic acids, so you should choose products rich in these components (grape seed oil, rosehip oil).
Sea buckthorn oil for the skin around the eyes
Sea buckthorn oil is highly valued by cosmetologists for the presence of the most important vitamins - A, C, E. This composition ideally works to slow down the aging of skin tissue. The skin is moisturized, becomes more elastic and acquires a healthy tone. Vitamin C is also involved in the production of collagen in the skin, which, in turn, is responsible for its turgor and firmness.
The phospholipids contained in sea buckthorn oil restore the balance in the fat metabolism of the skin. This product also contains anti-inflammatory elements - sterols, which act like an antiseptic. Fruit acids produce a pronounced rejuvenating effect, even out skin color, and therefore sea buckthorn oil can be used to remove age spots.
Most often, cosmetologists use sea buckthorn oil in the following products for the skin around the eyes:
- Recipe 1. Take sea buckthorn oil and heavy cream in equal parts, one teaspoon each, add one yolk. The prepared composition must be applied to the skin, including around the eyes. To improve the penetration of nutrients and achieve the desired effect, it is best to cover your face with cling film or a bag, making the necessary slits in it for the lips and eyes. This mask will help aging skin become softer and more toned. It can be used at any time of the year;
- Recipe 2. Mix one part of sea buckthorn oil with two parts of cosmetic clay and add half an yolk for every three teaspoons of the composition. This mask is applied to the entire face for 15 minutes. It is used for oily skin because it helps reduce oil secretion and also reduces inflammation.
Cosmetic oils: oil compositions, mixing, combination
You can MIX oils BY YOURSELF using any composition. BUT! It is important to remember that such a mixture should not have MORE than FIVE COMBINATIONS.
You can use them regularly or as needed. There are practically no contraindications (in rare cases, intolerance in the form of allergies). The best option is to use the course and add small quantities of cosmetic oils to your favorite creams, lotions, and body care liquids.
Oily care products
Peach oil for the skin around the eyes
It is with a peach that the skin of a young girl is usually compared. In fact, this effect can be achieved if you regularly use cosmetics that contain peach oil. Due to the high content of vitamins A and E, we can talk about its ability to increase skin turgor, moisturize and gradually remove wrinkles.
The content of vitamin B15 in peach oil is also unique, which helps improve blood flow in tissues. It also contains a considerable amount of minerals - calcium, iron, phosphorus and potassium - contained in this product in an easily digestible form. Cosmetologists use peach oil to care for the skin around the eyes to achieve a lasting rejuvenating effect.
By the way, this product has practically no contraindications and no allergic reactions have been observed:
- Recipe 1. Two cotton pads must be moistened in heated peach oil and applied to the lower eyelids. 15 minutes is enough to get a rested and fresh look. This compress can be used in the morning after a stormy evening;
- Recipe 2. Peach oil can be used as a makeup remover. You need to moisten a cotton swab in it and remove any remaining makeup. This recipe is especially suitable for those ladies whose eyelid skin is prone to irritation and allergic reactions. The remnants of the product on the skin of the face do not need to be washed off; they will perfectly nourish the skin;
- Recipe 3. Add a couple of drops of almond oil and jojoba to one tablespoon of peach oil. This mixture can be applied to the skin of the eyelids a couple of times a day for 15-20 minutes. If you have dry skin, you can quickly get rid of the feeling of tightness and dryness. By the way, the composition can also be used for eyebrows if you want to make them smoother and shinier, as well as achieve greater saturation of their color in a natural way.
Harm of facial oils
Don’t blindly trust labels and buy the first cosmetic product you come across, or run to the kitchen and pour vegetable oil on your face in which to fry pancakes or potatoes. You are unlikely to get any benefit from this. But you can feel the full extent of the harm from kitchen oil on your face.
First you need to understand the needs and initial data of your skin.
Incorrectly selected or incorrectly used oil can only worsen the condition of the skin - dry it out, cause inflammation or cause allergic reactions. Even the most natural remedies are not at all as harmless as we would like to think about them.
This is exactly what professional cosmetologists warn those who have decided that since the oil is natural, it means it is 100% safe and healthy.
Well, there are a couple of rules that you should immediately take into account if you decide to experience the magical power of natural oils:
- Immediately “NO” to oils that directly contain chemical components - parabens, silicones, mineral oil (the question is whether to write this information at all.)
- The second “NO” can be safely said to cheap oils of unknown origin. There are no miracles.
This may upset some people, but if you think that there is no difference between apricot kernel oil from a pharmacy for 50 rubles and the same apricot oil from iherb for 500 rubles, then most likely you are mistaken.
The desire to save money is understandable, but believe me, quality really costs money. And valuable oils are valuable because high-quality raw materials and the correct process of their production cost a certain amount of money. I won't reveal anything new here.
I have already verified this from my own experience, and you can also verify that, if you wish, fortunately, cheap oils are really cheap and easily accessible. It’s just that you shouldn’t immediately draw conclusions after experimenting with pharmaceutical oils or from who knows what kind of stall.
In my case, from the pharmacy set, perhaps, only sea buckthorn worked 100%, with the exception of the “side effect” in the form of bright orange skin due to the increased content of carotene in it. Otherwise, using them is like smearing plasticine on your face. Still, you should save on your face (and on yourself) in the last place, then the question “is it healthy to smear your face with oils” simply shouldn’t arise.
In my opinion, the best way to save money in this matter is not to skimp on quality, but to buy cosmetics in reliable, trusted stores during various promotions and sales . Fortunately, they happen quite often and thus you can always find a good oil for any budget.
To do this, I talk about the most interesting and profitable promotions on my blog and there is a separate post with current promotional codes on the iHerb website, as well as instructions for beginners on iHerb.
Coconut oil for the skin around the eyes
Coconut oil is very popular in Eastern countries. Thai women add it to all cosmetic products, and therefore their skin looks youthful even at a fairly mature age. It contains myristic, lauric and other fatty acids that have a rejuvenating effect.
Folic acid in its composition copes excellently with acne, and in combination with thiamine, the effect becomes complex, and we can talk about effective resistance to unfavorable ecology and other external influences, including mechanical damage, as well as frostbite in winter. Coconut oil not only perfectly nourishes the skin, but also makes it matte, unlike many other oil-based products.
In hot countries, coconut oil is used for burns, including those received after excessive sun exposure, and this indicates the ability to regenerate and renew the skin at the cellular level. Its smoothing effect is also known, and therefore it is used in the presence of unevenness on the surface of the epidermis. Coconut oil is a common ingredient in expensive products used by cultural figures, show business and other public people. In a word, a woman is guaranteed to have velvety and smooth skin with regular use of coconut oil.
It is most often used in the following formulations for the skin of the eyelids:
- Recipe 1. Coconut oil must be mixed with vitamin E in a ratio of 6:1. The resulting composition can be applied to the skin of the face just like that, or moistened with gauze or a cotton pad. 10 minutes is enough to completely smooth out fine wrinkles. With regular use, even the deepest wrinkles will become less noticeable. By the way, when applying the product to your face, you can help it quickly absorb into the deep layers of the epidermis by performing a light massage along special massage lines.
- Recipe 2. Mix a teaspoon of coconut oil with four drops of rosemary oil and apply the resulting mixture to the skin around the eyes. Thanks to rosemary essential oil, the fatty acids of coconut oil penetrate better into the skin. This mask has an excellent anti-aging effect and will be a real discovery for mature women.
- Recipe 3. Mix 50 ml of coconut oil with one teaspoon of honey and half an egg yolk. You need to dip cotton swabs into the resulting mixture and then apply them to the lower eyelids. The oil will nourish and moisturize the skin, and the egg yolk will delicately tighten, thereby producing a slight lifting effect. Honey will enhance the protective properties of the skin.
My rating - 10 best cosmetic oils for the face
I tried to make an honest list and therefore my rating includes only those products that REALLY work for ME without any reservations or dancing with a tambourine. Therefore, here you will not find either peach oil from the pharmacy or coconut oil (even high-quality one), because, in my opinion, compared to the cosmetic products that I list here, they are like a kindergartener versus a riot policeman.
There are NO very cheap oils in my Top 10, but I am convinced that the best facial oil is not necessarily the most expensive.
The cheapest oil in my rating is rosehip oil from the iherb website for 700 rubles, the most expensive oil is Sisley black rose for 14 thousand. At the same time, I am not saying that a product for 14 thousand is the best possible and you need to take out a mortgage in order to definitely purchase it for your daily routine. Not at all, the question is which brands you personally like, and what exactly do you want to get from using it. This is what I will tell you about.
And in my rating there are practically no base oils - basically, these are ready-made mixtures of various oils , where the ingredients are selected by professionals, in the right combination, in the right volume and concentration. This is a real science that beginners shouldn’t even bother with, if only because the cost of each component in the composition can be comparable to the cost of the finished mixture.
Life Flo Rosehip Oil
Rosehip oil is a pure natural retinol, with which it makes sense to start getting acquainted with this anti-aging component, even if you are not yet 30, do no harm. It has a very “fine” texture, is quickly absorbed without leaving a greasy residue, and makes the skin soft and velvety almost immediately after use.
Of the minuses, I can only note a specific aroma (similar to fish oil), but if desired, you can add a couple of drops of your favorite essential oils to the rosehip (as a base) and this drawback will no longer be a drawback even for the most sensitive to strange odors of people. The most popular essential oils with an anti-aging effect - ylang-ylang, rose or jasmine absolute - will make good company with rose hips.
Most importantly, don’t forget to do allergy tests (apply the mixture with essential oil to the crook of your elbow) and be sure to avoid the area around the eyes, otherwise the next morning you risk waking up with the face of a “beekeeper’s wife.”

Black cumin oil
They say that black seed oil can cure everything except death .
I use it in combination with tea tree to smear any skin irritations, rashes, lubricate my nose from the inside when I feel like I’m getting sick and my nose “tickles unpleasantly.” In skin care, cumin is, first of all, a natural, very mild antiseptic that restores the lipid balance of the skin and cures damage, inflammation and various troubles. No wonder it is also called royal oil.
My review of black seed oil on the blog.
I always have black cumin on hand - I use it not only on my face, but also on my scalp, which in this regard is even more demanding of the quality of cosmetics than my face.
Ingredients: only cold-pressed black cumin oil
Price: 680 rub.
Where to buy: on the iherb website there is a large selection of black cumin, both cosmetic and for health, consuming it internally.
Collagen oil Elemis PRO-collagen
Elemis brand's bestseller with algae extracts, known as a natural source of collagen, includes Mediterranean algae Padina Pavonica, golden algae, kelp and 9 precious oils such as: lavandin, geranium and eucalyptus, jojoba, clove, abyssinian, Roman chamomile, peppermint and grape seed oil.
Elemis PRO collagen - restores the skin, improves its turgor and even moisturizes; the manufacturer calls this effect “mermaid glow”. Night anti-aging oil LUNA from SUNDAY RILEY
For me, the SUNDAY RILEY brand was a discovery last year and LUNA is one of the products with which I began to get acquainted with the brand.
Anti-aging night oil Luna contains an advanced retinol complex, thanks to which it has an active restorative effect on the skin, which is especially important for skin 40+, 50+, but can be used even after 30. Retinol helps fight the signs of age - wrinkles and decreased elasticity, extracts Avocado, chia and grape seeds strengthen the skin and restore its natural radiance. Blue tansy has anti-inflammatory properties, providing a calming effect.
Luna has a quickly absorbing texture, so it should not be used as a massage product either. and she also has an unusual bright emerald color, like brilliant green. But don’t be alarmed, this doesn’t affect your complexion in any way.
The composition of LUNA is practically therapeutic; the manufacturer recommends it even for such serious skin diseases as eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, rosacea and acne.
This cosmetic product is very powerful; due to the retinol content, it cannot be used during the day, combined with acids, and if you used Luna at night, you should take care of sun protection during the day, otherwise, instead of the anti-aging effect, you can get hyperpigmentation or even burns.
Compound:
Persea Gratissima (Extra Virgin,
Avocado ), Vitis Vinifera ( Grape ), Rubus Fruticosus ( Blackberry ), Salvia Hispanica ( Chia ), Dimethyl Isosorbide (and) Hydroxypinacone Retinoate, Chamomile (Matricaria), Tanacetum annuum ( blue tansy ), Anthemis nobilis ( English chamomile ), Eriocephalus punctualatus ( Cape chamomile ), Citrus Aurantium Amara oil ( neroli ), Citrus Aurantium Dulcis ( blood orange ). Darphin oil aroma essence
The ideal oil for facial massage is any product from the Darfan aroma line; the main problem is deciding which one to choose. They all smell simply magical, Darphin’s aroma compositions can be called simply exemplary, this is the main feature of the brand and a real pleasure. It’s not for nothing that the brand is one of the most popular in expensive European SPA salons.
I now have a miniature mixture with vetiver (contains pure vetiver, geranium, French lavender and marjoram) and each use of it is an aromatherapy session that has a relaxing and calming effect not only on the skin, but also on the nervous system.
By the way, it is somewhat similar to ESPA, which will be discussed below.

Whitening anti-rosacea mixture Dshansurat/Apple Petal from East Night
I liked this oriental face oil even more than the first one - “Golden-bearing”, which I used (the title photo of the post), firstly, it is not so viscous in consistency, and secondly, in the morning the effect of fresher and lighter skin “ on the face"! Everything is as promised on the labels - the skin tone evens out and the “vessels” become paler.
Compound:
first cold pressed: beautiful centaury seeds, jojoba seeds, macadamia fruits, red mulberry seeds, Lebanese poppy, tricolor amaranth seeds, borage seeds, essential oils: Phrygian cornflower inflorescences, Palestine lime seeds, odorless chamomile inflorescences, Persian ivy leaves * indicating subspecies

Black rose Sisley Black Rose Oil
The most expensive cosmetic product in my review, which means the requirements for it are higher.
What will I say? Great anti-aging oil! This is, indeed, a truly working product and you will get the pleasure and effect from its use from the first to the last drop. But!
As I mentioned at the beginning, I can’t say that this is the very best oil in the review in terms of effect. Even rosehip gives quite comparable results on me. If there is no difference, why pay more?
Well, to each his own. I want to pamper myself and there is such an opportunity , why not?

Clarins Orchidee Bleue Facial Oil
This is probably the most famous facial product in my review - Clarins Orchidee Bleue for dehydrated skin. Blue orchid is an exotic ingredient that is not often found in skincare products. Exotic always attracts our attention.
I wrote a review of this cosmetic oil with the Clarens orchid at the dawn of my beauty blogging activities, and even then it was in my top 5 best cosmetics for the winter.
Clarens is one of the first “ready-made” oils with which I began my acquaintance with this category. Because the very first attempts with pharmaceutical oils for 100 rubles were expectedly disastrous (peach, almond, avocado, etc.), which, objectively, “didn’t work.” But I liked this and wanted to try something new.
I will always remember the life hack that was recommended to me by a brand consultant in a store, and now I use it with other products and recommend it to everyone.
After applying the oil, sprinkle some water (hydrolate or thermal) on it. This way it is absorbed many times faster, and the skin looks even better.
A great facial product for dehydrated skin, it's a really good one, but I rarely get around to it these days. I haven’t bought it for a long time, but I remember and included it in my rating.
Ingredients: CORYLUS AVELLANA (HAZEL) SEED OIL, POGOSTEMON CABLIN OIL, LINALOOL, PARFUM/FRAGRANCE, LIMONENE, HELIANTHUS ANNUUS (SUNFLOWER) SEED OIL, COUMARIN, EUGENOL, CITRAL, ORCHID EXTRACT, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE [V1640H1]
Price: from 2361 rub. in the Letual store
Mad Hippie Antioxidant Facial Oil
An antioxidant mixture based on argan and camu camu - a very light oil, quickly absorbed, with a pleasant citrus scent.
I’ve already written a review on the Mad Hippie acid serum on my blog; in my impressions, the brand is very interesting and there is something for lovers of natural cosmetics to please themselves with.
Ingredients: Argan oil is the basis of cosmetic oil. Camu camu is an antioxidant-rich berry from the Amazon jungle that contains 30 times more vitamin C than an orange.
Argan (argania spinosa), pomegranate (punica granatum), sunflower (helianthus annuus), cranberry fruit extract (vaccine macrocarpon), pomegranate extract (punica granatum), blueberry extract (vaccinium angustifolium), strawberry extract (fragaria vesca), kiwi extract ( actinidia chinensis), watermelon fruit extract (citrullus vulgaris), grape seed extract (vitis vinifera), raspberry seed extract (rubus idaeus), camu camu fruit extract (myrciaria dubia), acai extract (top extract), goisi extract (Lycium barbarum) , sea buckthorn berry extract (hippophae rhamnoides), hemp seed extract (cannabis sativa), broccoli extract (brassica oleracea italica), sweet orange oil (citrus sinens), vitamin E (tocopherol).

Opinion of aromatherapists and cosmetologists
Cosmetologists recommend paying more attention to the skin after 25 years in order to look healthy and fresh for as long as possible. Essential oils are an important element in a natural cosmetology approach. With their help you can take care of your face, neck, décolleté and body skin. They tone, improve metabolism, smooth out fine wrinkles and slow down the appearance of new ones. Naturopathic doctor, popularizer of aromatherapy, Josh Ax, in his reviews of essential oils, mentions that effective esters are made from high quality raw materials, which means they cannot be cheap.
