In secret from the whole world, she finds time to indulge in the sacrament, those magical manipulations that help her look 100%. A modern woman is not afraid to talk about her age, because she has become more educated in the field of cosmetology and personal care products and methods.

It is quite natural that when a woman is faced with the question of care, first of all she pays attention to her face. The face is a woman’s calling card and therefore we will pay special attention to morning facial care, because... We remember that even a working morning for a business woman should begin with excellent procedures that will bring her closer to her ideal image every day.

She looks younger, she is energetic and active. Self-care includes caring for the face and body, and a more attentive attitude to one’s hair, as well as legs; in a word, a modern woman is in no hurry to solve the issue of the beauty of her body using drastic methods, resorting to the help of a plastic surgeon.

Morning is the very time when our skin is especially predisposed to taking care of it, which means we can give our skin a caring procedure.

Morning procedure to awaken facial skin

The first thing to remember when performing morning facial treatments is that the facial muscles are fundamentally different from the body muscles. The facial muscles are thinner, they are flatter, with rare exceptions they are attached at one end to the bone, and at the other they are woven into the skin or into other muscles.

The facial muscles have a certain connection with each other, and therefore if some muscles of the face and neck are out of balance, then other muscles become weak and begin to, as is called, “sag.” Many people begin to pay attention to these weakened, sagging muscles, and this is a grave mistake.

You should start working with those facial muscles that are overstrained. By relieving tension from these muscles, we will restore tone to sagging muscles. However, before you start training your facial muscles, you should do gymnastics as soon as you wake up and are still lying in bed.

Age labels for cosmetics

What are the criteria for choosing skin care products at different ages and why can’t you use a cream labeled anti-age if you are over 20 years old?

Taking into account the age-related characteristics of the skin, as the body matures, skin care will change:

  • At 20+ years of age, the body’s natural aging process begins, and although the first external signs of skin maturity will not be noticeable soon, now is the time to take care of aging prevention. Skin at this age needs antioxidant support and intense hydration. From the age of 25, you should include eye moisturizers in your beauty routine. Young skin makes the most of its own resources and renews itself well, so moisturizing and regular cleansing will be enough to maintain its tone.
  • At the age of 30+, the body already noticeably decreases the synthesis of hyaluronic acid, collagen and other elements necessary to maintain the density, firmness and elasticity of the skin. By the age of 35, age-related changes become noticeable: facial wrinkles, dehydration creases, skin loses tone. It is recommended to enhance antioxidant support, add UV protection and include anti-aging formulas based on hyaluronic acid and collagen in your beauty routine.
  • At 40+ years of age, the time comes to fully combat age-related changes. By the age of 45, many people experience such noticeable manifestations of skin maturity as pigmentation, deformation of the oval of the face, deep creases and a network of fine wrinkles in the eye and lip area, and decreased skin turgor. At this age, the cosmetic bag is replenished with products containing retinol, peptides, and rhamnose.
  • At 50+ years of age, a period of age-related hormonal changes in the body begins. Almost all elements that maintain youth and skin tone stop natural synthesis and must be replenished with the help of appropriate compensatory care. The contours of the face begin to change, gravitational ptosis appears, the skin becomes thinner, loses density, becomes dry and sensitive. Compensatory care includes powerful anti-aging formulas that replenish moisture and collagen deficiency in skin cells.

Why is it necessary to use serums?

Daily skin care includes the use of serums. But today they remain a mysterious remedy for many. The range of possibilities of serums is huge:

  • moisturizing and nourishing the skin
  • fight acne and age spots
  • eliminating signs of wilting, etc.

The serum contains a concentrate of active substances that can solve many skin problems. The main feature of the serum is that the depth of penetration of its components is much greater than that of any cream.

Daily skin care products differ in their action:

  • Moisturizing. Eliminate inflammation on the skin. Such serums are necessary for sensitive and dehydrated skin. They will be especially useful in hot weather, when the skin suffers from a lack of moisture. Typically, moisturizing serums contain hyaluronic acid and glycerin. They should be used 2 times a day.
  • Calming. Suitable for sensitive skin. The serums contain herbal extracts, niacinamide and other active substances.
  • Exfoliating. Eliminate dead epidermal cells. Serums are made on the basis of lactic, salicylic and other acids. They are used only in the evening.
  • Anti-aging. Tightens the skin, eliminates sagging and wrinkles. Serums contain retinol, vitamin C, antioxidants.

How to choose the best products for daily facial care

The basis of a beauty routine for any age is an almost identical set of procedures, differing only in the intensity of application and the concentration of the formulas.

Cleansing

Morning and evening, we cleanse the skin of sebum particles, sweat, cosmetics and external impurities. To remove remnants of makeup (even persistent ones) from the eyes, use micellar water.

Exfoliation

Additional deep cleansing with peelings and scrubs, aimed at intense exfoliation and subsequent accelerated skin renewal. It is carried out 1-2 times a week.

Toning

The final stage of cleansing: restores the pH of the skin and prepares it for the application of basic care products.

Serum

Light in texture, additional care product: can be used before cream or as an independent step. It has a highly concentrated targeted action formula to solve a specific problem.

Cream

The basic and final stage of care, aimed at correcting existing imperfections and preventing new ones. Depending on the needs, the cream is aimed at moisturizing the skin, nourishing, protecting, restoring or providing powerful anti-aging support. There are day and night creams.

Sun protection

As a separate stage of day care: prevents photoaging and other negative effects of ultraviolet radiation on the skin.

Important(!): all care products must be selected according to your skin type and needs.

Why cleanse and tone your skin?

The main stages of skin care are cleansing and toning. They should be performed 2 times a day. Daily facial skin care at home depends on the condition of the skin.

Cleansing is an important stage of skincare procedures. Using makeup and cosmetics without first cleansing will be ineffective - the skin and pores are contaminated, which provokes the appearance of pimples and minor blemishes. Even if you don’t use decorative cosmetics, you still need to cleanse your skin.

Daily facial skin care at home cannot be complete without cleansing. During the night, the skin intensively produces sebum. Morning procedures will help remove excess sebum and prepare the skin for the use of day cream.

Proper daily facial skin care must include evening cleansing of dirt and makeup residues. After cleansing, the skin is able to absorb the nutrients contained in the creams. The main rule is to use special products to cleanse the thin skin around the eyes.

If everything is clear with cleansing, then why does the skin need toning? The normal pH of human skin is 3.5-5.5. The skin is covered by a lipid layer called the acid mantle. Washing disrupts the acidity of the skin, as products often contain alkalis. After some time, the skin itself is able to restore its pH, but a tonic will help speed up this process.

Facial skin care every day includes toning. Tonics perform several tasks:

  • help neutralize the effects of cleansers
  • stabilize skin pH after cleansing
  • prepare the skin for applying the cream
  • improve the penetration of nutrients into the deep layers of the dermis

Daily skin care for the face and neck means using toners in the morning and evening. The toner restores pH and eliminates the feeling of tightness. The toning effect will not be long in coming - the skin becomes moisturized and velvety, skin pores narrow, and inflammatory processes decrease.

How to care for facial skin depending on its type

To choose the right care products, you need to know what type of skin you have. The success and effectiveness of the products used depends on this factor.

Tips for caring for oily skin

Basic care should be aimed at reducing sebum production, reducing the intensity of the sebaceous glands and preventing the appearance of inflammation and rashes. Look for product formulas labeled non-comedogenic, salicylic acid, mattifying and anti-inflammatory ingredients.

Suitable:

  • Effaclar range products are designed specifically for the care of oily skin: cleanses and tightens pores, prevents the occurrence of imperfections. The formula of the range is based on La Roche-Posay Thermal Water to strengthen the protective functions of the skin, salicylic acid for accelerated cell renewal, mattifying, moisturizing and restoring components.

Rules for basic care for dry and sensitive skin

Dry skin especially needs long-lasting, high-quality hydration. In addition to an established drinking regime, do not forget about products based on hygroscopic agents (glycerin, hyaluronic acid), which not only moisturize cells, but also prevent transepidermal moisture loss, leaving the skin soft, smooth and nourished for a long time.

Formulas based on softening, soothing and lipid-restoring components, such as vegetable oils, can cope with increased sensitivity. Choose special products labeled “for sensitive skin” and “hypoallergenic”.

Basic measures for caring for combination skin

Not allowed after depilation!

After any method of hair removal, the skin is injured and becomes very sensitive. Do not neglect these simple rules within 24 hours after the procedure!

  1. Refrain from steaming your skin - a hot bath or visiting a sauna. Also, avoid swimming in the pool, as chlorine can cause irritation. Swimming in open reservoirs should also be postponed until the next day - the water in them is not clean enough.
  2. Don't play sports. Sweat increases the risk of pore infection and subsequent inflammation. If you do get sweaty, take a cool shower (but not a bath!).
  3. Do not wear synthetic underwear or tight-fitting clothing. Such things will chafe sensitive skin. And due to the lack of oxygen, the epidermis will take longer to recover. On the day after waxing, wear comfortable cotton underwear and loose, breathable clothing.
  4. Do not apply deodorant to depilated areas. Especially immediately after the procedure! It can cause irritation, itching and dry skin.
  5. Don't sunbathe! Sunbathing can be a real nightmare for the skin after depilation - leading to inflammation and even burns.
