Rose oil - royal care for face, body, hair

Rose is a symbol of beauty and freshness, so it is no wonder that it has been used for centuries to care for the face and body. The sweet aroma lifts the mood, the fragrance of the flower captivates the mind from the first notes. Widely used for medical purposes, it is impossible to imagine perfumery without recognizable tart tints. In cosmetology, rose oil occupies a special place; they create a line of products based on a natural product. It has a complex effect, rejuvenates, refreshes, and restores the natural radiance of the skin.

Composition and medicinal properties

In the Christian tradition, the rose is a symbol of joy and the Resurrection of Christ. All peoples of the Earth revere this flower, considering it divine. Essential oil is produced from rose buds of essential oil varieties:

  • damask;
  • centifolia;
  • musky.

In the summer, thousands of petals are collected before sunrise to be turned into oil by water distillation that same day. The raw materials are processed with boiling water or steam in large boilers, then condensate containing ethers is collected. During processing, a secondary product is also formed, rose water - an aqueous solution of essential oil.

The ancient Persians were the first to obtain rose oil. The largest oil producer of our time is Bulgaria. Not far from the town of Kazanlak, at the foot of the Balkan Mountains, the Valley of Roses, protected from the cold and winds, is comfortably located. This is where fragrant flowers grow and oil is distilled. Every year the Rose Festival takes place in this valley. Romantics and connoisseurs come to the holiday to enjoy flowers and buy a natural product made from Damask roses. Varieties of this variety are also grown in Crimea and Turkey, so the oils from these places have a similar smell.

Rose essential oil is always yellow or light green in color, pink oil is fake.

The natural essential oil of the royal flower is so highly valued that it is often stored in bank safes like gold. For example, Bulgarian essential oil costs about 2000 rubles. for 1 year

The chemical composition of esters of different oilseed varieties differs slightly, but not dramatically. The aroma of Damask rose is recognized as the richest. The petals of this variety contain:

  • stearoptene;
  • citronellol;
  • phenylethynol;
  • geraniol, nerol;
  • farnesol;
  • fatty acid.

The solid fatty part of the oil - stearopten - is dissolved in a mixture of odorous terpene alcohols. The presence of terpenoids is responsible for the beneficial properties of rose oil:

  • tonic;
  • antiseptic;
  • anti-inflammatory;
  • increases immunity;
  • healing;
  • emollient;
  • astringent;
  • decongestant.

Rose oil is primarily used as an external remedy. As a bactericidal and anesthetic drug, ether is used for herpes: the blisters are “cauterized” with a cotton swab dipped in oil. Pimples, blackheads, and suppurations are also spot-treated.

To produce 1 kg of rose oil you will need about 3000 tons of Damask rose petals

Rose oil improves women's hormonal levels, disinfects and heals the mucous membranes of the vagina. It is not for nothing that the rose is considered a feminine flower. It can even normalize the menstrual cycle.

Rose oil exhibits antispasmodic properties for pain of various locations and origins. For migraines, regularly rub your temples with diluted oil.

Anyone who has once tried to care for the body with rose oil will never give it up again. The beneficial effect of the royal remedy on dry, irritated and aging skin is especially impressive. When used regularly, it nourishes and nurtures, namely:

  • relieves irritation and swelling;
  • smoothes out small wrinkles;
  • moisturizes;
  • normalizes sebum secretion;
  • evens out complexion;
  • stimulates cell renewal;
  • eliminates acne marks and stretch marks;
  • tightens and rejuvenates;
  • increases elasticity;
  • eliminates spider veins on the skin;
  • brightens, removes dark circles under the eyes.

The oil is used not only for cosmetic skin care, but also for the treatment of skin diseases: eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis. It has been noticed that remedies from the flower quickly relieve itching, inflammation and flaking.

Indications for use

The aroma liquid will become an indispensable home care product due to its wide range of beneficial properties:

  • smoothes facial and age wrinkles;
  • eliminates pigmentation, scars, acne marks;
  • tightens pores, cleanses comedones;
  • has a lifting effect, will give a clear oval contour;
  • relieves inflammation, irritation, itching;
  • tones and restores stressed skin;
  • used to accelerate the healing of wounds and burns;
  • removes toxins and oxidants;
  • prevents wilting processes.

With regular use, you can forget about acne, unhealthy skin tone, and successfully eliminate wrinkles and jowls.

Attention! Effective use not only for the face, but also for the delicate skin of the eyelids, to combat bags and swelling.

If you come across a product on sale that is too cheap, carefully read the label and instructions. Most often it is not an essential oil, but a cosmetic oil. It should not be used internally under any circumstances. In this product, rose esters are diluted with a base oil in a ratio of 1:20 or 1:10.

How is Rose Oil obtained?

Rose oil is obtained by distilling the petals with steam or boiling water, just like any other essential oil. In this case, the processing temperature is strictly observed. At the slightest temperature deviation from the required temperature, the rich aroma of rose oil and part of its unique properties are lost. The petals are treated with steam or water twice.

In Crimea and Moldova they use their own method - extraction with a solvent or solid fat (enfleurage). All of them make it possible to obtain a light yellow, sometimes greenish liquid with an oily, viscous texture that retains the wonderful aroma of the flower and its healing properties. The color of the oil depends on where the bush grew and how it was processed.

The finished rose oil is stored at a temperature of 20–25C, visually divided into two components: solid (stearopten - without aroma) and liquid (eleoptene, which has a pronounced rose aroma).

At lower temperatures (for example, when stored in the refrigerator), the oil hardens and resembles regular fat, while retaining all its beneficial properties.

Methods of obtaining

As soon as the harvesting is completed, the flower is taken into a rectification plant for processing. In case there is a delay in processing, the flower should be spread at low temperature and water should be sprinkled to avoid loss of oil through evaporation or the flower should be immersed in a tank of water and the same water will be used in distillation. In India, three different methods are practiced for processing rose oil.

Bhapka Distillation Method

Most rose breweries in India use traditional distillation equipment, which consists of a round kettle and a receiver that also serves as a condenser. The equipment is made of copper. The vat and receiver are connected to a bamboo stick through which the steam from the boiler reaches the coil. The receiver is placed in a tank of scented water, which helps with the condensation of vapors containing rose oil. The vat has a capacity of 50-100 kg of flower per batch and takes about 6-8 hours to complete distillation. Once distillation is complete, the receiver is removed and the oil is separated. This method produces a recovery of 0.01-0.015%, which is significantly lower than the other method described below.

Direct distillation - hydro-distillation with steam

The device consists of a kettle, a column, a condenser and a vat - the whole can be made of copper or stainless steel. The container can hold from 100-200 kg of flowers per batch.

To improve fuel efficiency and generate sufficient steam. The outlet of the receiver is connected to a column for processing condensate in the apparatus, after the oil has been separated in the receiver.

This process is known as re-distillation and is used to improve oil extraction. The plant is easy to operate and can be operated by a skilled worker. Oil distillation takes about 4-6 hours per batch.

Boiller Controlled Unit (Steam Distillation)

This is the most modern distillation method and is suitable for large-scale oil production. All equipment consists of three blocks, distillation apparatus and re-distillation. Fresh rose petals are loaded into the distillation unit and distilled, after which they enter the receiver and then into the re-distillation process

Hair care

Rose oil strengthens hair follicles, returns vitality, shine, and strength to brittle, dry hair. The fungicidal effect of the product is clearly expressed. With constant use, dandruff and fungal infections, such as seborrhea of the scalp, are eliminated. The flower also has a beneficial effect on the production of sebum; hair does not become greasy so quickly if such a problem is bothering you. Based on the oil, medicinal compositions are prepared for the reanimation of damaged hair. However, there are some subtleties that must be observed for masks to be beneficial.

  1. It is better to apply the mixture to unwashed hair.
  2. After applying the composition, wrap your head with film and insulate it with a towel. Unless otherwise directed, keep the mask on your hair for 30 minutes. Then rinse with warm water and regular shampoo.
  3. If the composition is too liquid, add starch to it.
  4. To revive your strands and stop hair loss, you will need to complete a course of 7-10 sessions.

We refine long strands

It happens that your hair is no good, but in the evening you need to appear at the holiday in all its glory. In this case, use a conditioning mask. This mixture improves the appearance of hair.

The brilliant, fragrant waterfall of “laminated” hair will surprise those around you. For those who have never applied such a mask: try the composition at least once, not before an important event. Brittle, weakened hair does not like this type of treatment. Do not use the gelatin mixture more than 2 times a month.

A gelatin mask is not recommended for hair that is too thin; it may look greasy and slick.

Description

To obtain rose oil, the method of steam distillation is used. The raw material is rose petals. The finished product has a light color, viscous consistency and a sweetish floral aroma.

The oil has a very complex multicomponent composition, consisting of solid and liquid parts. The liquid part has a pronounced aroma, the solid part has no smell. At room temperature and below, the solid part may separate and precipitate. To restore the homogeneous structure of the oil, it needs to be slightly heated. But you cannot overheat the product, as light essential substances will begin to evaporate.

Royal facial

The effect of rose oil is especially noticeable when facial skin is imperfect. The ethers of the flower will return to anyone the desire to look at themselves in the mirror. A miraculous remedy eliminates redness, swelling, spots, pimples, sagging, large pores. Only facial wrinkles cannot be removed with this product. And it copes with small mesh wrinkles.

With age, the skin's reserves of moisture, collagen and elastin decrease. Therefore, it is worth starting to moisturize and nourish with rose ethers when the feeling of tightness of the skin first appears after washing. This is a signal that cell renewal has slowed down. This usually happens after 25 years. From this point on, the strength and elasticity of the skin will begin to decrease if measures are not taken.

Anti-aging skin creams

The aroma of a rose inspires even those who have never done this to create creams. An effective anti-wrinkle remedy without harmful chemicals is prepared at home from the following ingredients:

  • lanolin - 30 g;
  • glycerin - 10 ml;

Face masks

When doing home facial care, use the experience of cosmetologists.

  1. Apply masks only to cleansed skin.
  2. Leave the mixture on for 20 minutes, then rinse with warm water. Apply your usual cream, this is especially important after clay formulations.
  3. Lie down while the mask is in effect, do not talk, keep your face still.
  4. If you are using cosmetic oil rather than rose essential oil, increase the number of drops in the recipe by 2-3 times.
  5. In order for the results of the mask to become noticeable, they are used in a course of 5–8 procedures every 3 days.

Cosmetologists do not recommend making masks for people with normal, healthy skin under 25 years of age; it simply doesn’t make sense.

Moisturizing masks

Constant dryness of the skin leads to early aging, so it is moisturized with fatty acids of oils.

  • vitamin E capsules - 1 pc.;

Anti-aging mask

To tighten the contours of a sagging face, masks with a lifting effect are used.

  • rose ether - 2 drops;
  • milk - 1-2 tbsp. l.
  1. Dissolve rose oil in 1 tbsp. l. milk. Add clay.
  2. Add milk until the mixture is thick, if necessary.

Wrinkles become less pronounced with the help of a multi-component mask. Ingredients:

Do not laugh while the clay mixture is in action, the skin “remembers” wrinkles

Mask for acne, blackheads, blackheads

Inflamed skin needs special care; you need to clean it well, get rid of inflammation and at the same time not dry it out. These contradictory problems are solved by a mask made of the following components:

  • yellow clay - 1 tbsp. l.;
  • milk - 1 tsp;
  • rose ether - 2 drops;
  • turmeric - 1/4 tsp;
  • nettle decoction - as needed.

Turmeric is a spice that, when applied to the skin, inhibits the growth of bacteria and fights acne.

Anti-pigmentation mask

Spots and spider veins add ten years to your age. To lighten the skin, apply a mask of the following components:

  • mashed boiled potatoes - 1 tbsp. l.;
  • jojoba oil - 1/2 tsp;
  • lemon ether - 5 drops;
  • rose ether - 2 drops.

Preparation

  1. Dilute the esters in jojoba oil.
  2. Add potatoes and stir.

Keep the mixture on for 10 minutes, then rinse off.

Rose essential oil can be added to ready-made products: 3-5 drops per 100 ml of cream. But chemists do not recommend adding ether to shampoos, shower gels, and bath foam. Their composition is such that the oils simply will not be absorbed into the body or hair. This is a waste of a valuable product.

Compresses for eyelids

For dryness, itching of the eyelids, dark circles and swelling under the eyes, use homemade “rose water” lotions.

Ingredients:

  • liquid honey - 1/2 tsp;
  • boiled water - 1/2 cup;
  • rose essential oil - 1 drop.

Dissolve the ether in honey, add warm water, stir. Dip cotton pads into the liquid and place on closed eyes. After 15 min. remove the compress. Lotions are applied every night for five days in a row. Keep the product in the refrigerator during this time. If you are allergic to honey, prepare the composition with boiled milk.

If you have rose oil, apply a little under your eyes with your fingertips. Do this with patting movements, try not to stretch the skin. Provided that the oil contains natural rose essential oil, dark circles and puffiness under the eyes will disappear.

Rose oil is very gentle on the skin around the eyes: moisturizes, brightens, tightens

Lip care

With age, without proper care, lips become thinner and transverse wrinkles appear. Store-bought balms contain few natural ingredients, so it is safer to nourish and moisturize the skin around the mouth with homemade mixtures.

Ingredients:

  • jojoba oil - 10 drops;
  • rose essential oil - 1 drop.

While applying the product, it is advisable to rub your lips to increase blood flow. Then the nutrients will be better absorbed. For massage use a soft toothbrush.

Application

  1. Mix oils and apply to lips.
  2. Within 2 min. Massage your lips with a brush without excessive pressure.

Solid lip balm is also prepared independently.

Ingredients:

  • Shea butter - 1 tbsp. l.;
  • Beeswax - 1 tbsp. l.;
  • Almond oil - 1 tbsp. l.;
  • Rose essential oil - 2 drops.

Preparation

  1. Melt the shea, wax and base oil over a steamer, stirring constantly. Remove from stove.
  2. When the mixture has cooled a little, add ether and stir. Pour into a convenient jar.

Bloom like a rose

In poetry, comparing the face of a loved one to a rose is a classic phenomenon. But it is noteworthy that this oil really gives the skin that gentle, warm, even shade of tenderness and freshness that reminds poets of the queen of flowers. Practitioners, unlike lyricists, prefer scientific arguments and decompose the rose fragrance into a complex of chemical elements with their own cosmetic properties. From this point of view, rose oil is a complex multicomponent formula of esters, alcohols, aldehydes and phenols, which is characterized by a targeted effect on the skin:

  • eliminates irritation, inflammation, peeling;
  • regulates the functions of the sebaceous glands;
  • refreshes skin tone by stimulating melanin synthesis;
  • strengthens fragile capillaries, eliminates the manifestations of rosacea;
  • increases firmness and elasticity;
  • smoothes the surface, counteracts the appearance of wrinkles;
  • contours the oval of the face;
  • reduces the appearance of scars;
  • eliminates swelling and dark circles under the eyes.

The main thing for which rose ether is valued is its rejuvenating property, which is based on the ability of its components to inhibit the oxidative degradation of lipids, influence the energy apparatus of the cell, and stimulate the synthesis of adenositripshospate and collagen. The oil delays the appearance of the first wrinkles, smoothes out facial wrinkles, makes deep ones less pronounced, and with regular use at an advanced age reduces their overall severity.

In addition to antioxidant, rose oil has a strong anti-inflammatory and bactericidal effect. Therefore, it is recommended for sensitive, problematic skin, in the presence of dermatitis, neurodermatitis, and acne.

Rose essential oil enhances the protective functions of the skin, activates cell regeneration, helps remove toxic substances, and resist negative factors. All this brings rose oil to a leading position in the field of everyday facial care, starting from a young age. But how to properly and economically use the precious substance for these purposes?

Ready-made products with rose ether

The yield of product after distillation is very small; a bucket of buds is required to obtain one drop. Therefore, finding natural essential oil is quite difficult. It's even more difficult to spot a fake. You will need a chromatographic study, which cannot be done at home. It is much easier to buy cosmetic oils, creams, soaps or rose water (hydrolate) with rose oil. It is preferable to buy products from places where essential oil production is located: in Crimea, Bulgaria, Turkey. Less chance of running into a fake.

An inexpensive derivative of rose oil is rose water, a secondary product of production is the so-called hydrosol. It is less likely to be counterfeited and is relatively cheap. Essentially, it is an aqueous solution of rose esters, which is further enriched with primary rose oil and stabilized with ethyl alcohol. It is this fragrant rose water, and not the oil itself, that women have used since ancient times to maintain the beauty of their skin.

A set of cosmetics with rose oil from the Bulgarian company Bio Pharm (soap with essential oil, rose water and cream with it) makes it possible to try several products at once

Benefits of wild rose petal oil

The oil has a second name - “liquid sun”. It was named so for the rich concentration of useful substances in it.

Wild rose (rose hip) has collected all the beneficial substances from the earth, water and clean air of wild, untouched nature. It enriches the skin with the vitamins and microelements it needs.

Wild rose oil is suitable for absolutely any skin. But it is best to use it specifically for fading, aging skin. But if your skin is tired from an abundance of cosmetics, an overly cold climate and stress, then wild rose oil will definitely help it recover.

  • The remarkable property of the oil is that, having a fairly light structure, it does not clog skin cells, so it can be used as a night cream with a clear conscience
  • Two or three applications of this lip oil are enough to get rid of stubborn lips.
  • The aroma of wild rose oil is not so strong as to overwhelm other odors, so it is used even by people who cannot stand the smell of roses for some reason

Queen of flowers against insomnia

The most pleasant procedure for sleep disorders is a warm bath. Dilute 4-5 drops of rose oil in milk, honey, salt or base oil and pour into the bath. If a large bathtub is not available, foot bathtubs are also effective. Add 1-2 drops to a bowl of water.

For the sleeping water procedure to work, it is better to use it 2-3 hours before bedtime for 20 minutes. It is advisable that at least an hour pass after dinner. Too hot water and too long a water procedure will invigorate, not calm. Let the water temperature not exceed 37o C, otherwise sweating will prevent the oil from being absorbed into the skin.

A bath with rose oil puts you in the mood for relaxation

Rubbing oils before bed helps with insomnia. Dilute 4-5 drops of ether in 2 tbsp. l. base oil. If desired, prepare a more effective massage product.

Ingredients:

  • Jojoba base oil - 10 ml;
  • rose ether - 1 drop;
  • lavender ether - 3 drops;
  • Roman chamomile or mint ether - 2 drops.

Mix the oils. Store in an opaque container in a dark place. In the evenings, after applying the oil, rub the following areas in a circular motion:

  • earlobes;
  • whiskey;
  • legs (feet);
  • neck (collar area).

If desired, everyone can create a massage mixture based on their preferences. Rose oil goes well with the following oils:

  • bergamot;
  • geraniums;
  • cypress;
  • chamomile;
  • tangerine;
  • patchouli;
  • myrrh;
  • rosewood.

Advantages and disadvantages

The ether has a complex effect on the skin, helps restore youth and refresh the tone. But when using it is worth considering not only the benefits, but also the possible harm of the concentrated product.

Pros:

  • suitable for all skin types, including sensitive, irritation-prone skin;
  • can be used throughout the year;
  • has no age restrictions, solves problems of teenage skin, effective use even after 40 years;
  • combined with base oils, esters, herbal compositions, you can enrich finished cosmetic products;
  • can be used for delicate skin of the eyelids;
  • economical consumption, 1-3 drops of ether are enough for 10 ml;
  • a positive result is observed after the first procedure.

Minuses:

  • refers to the most expensive ethers;
  • There are a number of contraindications for use.

Ovulation stimulation

In case of ovulation disorders, an unconventional method sometimes helps - rubbing the abdomen with rose ether. However, it is important to do this on time: every day from the 4th to the 14th day of the menstrual cycle. To get a massage product, dissolve 2 drops of ether in 10 ml of base oil.

This massage works in several directions:

  • eliminates negative attitude, apathy;
  • improves blood circulation in the pelvic organs;
  • relieves inflammation of female organs;
  • stimulates the maturation of eggs in the ovaries.

The painting by Sandro Botticelli depicts the goddess of love Venus, in whose veins, according to ancient Greek legends, rose oil flowed

Aromatherapy

Ancient Chinese texts describe how the soul of plants lives in their scent. It’s easy to believe this when you inhale the noble scent of rose oil.

Aromatization of premises

To liken your state of mind to the beauty of a perfect flower, add 3-5 drops of ether into the aroma lamp. Without letting the water boil, scent the room for 15–30 minutes. Rose oil ennobles our condition by bringing:

  • calm;
  • a good mood;
  • optimism;
  • tolerance.

Having inhaled rose ethers, you want to hold the exhalation and preserve the sweet and refined aroma inside. In addition to the floral scent, spicy honey and smoky notes are detected. “True femininity” is how the exciting aroma is briefly described. In addition to its mild tonic effect, rose eliminates nervous tension, depression, and enhances sensuality. A harmonizing effect has been observed in all mood pathologies. This is probably due to the Queen of Flowers' ability to increase concentration. Thanks to the ability to focus on the desired state of mind, it is possible to bring it to life. In case of despondency, a rose instills cheerfulness; in case of neurosis, it calms. No other flower acts in this way.

For those who want to always “carry” the scent of a rose with them, I advise you to purchase an aroma pendant, which is worn as a decoration around the neck. The oil in it evaporates very sparingly; one drop is enough for 3 days.

An aroma pendant is not only a carrier of your favorite scent, but also a decoration

From the author: make your shadow white

Bringing beauty is a good thing when this activity does not completely absorb a person. If you elevate external beauty to the highest value, disappointments are inevitable. We become very vulnerable by allowing our happiness to depend on the presence or absence of cosmetic defects. Moderation and balance are important even in self-care.

There are very few people who are ideally beautiful in appearance. There are many more people who have a beautiful soul, but an ordinary appearance. This is sad and not fair. In this case, rose ethers extract inner beauty and manifest it outwardly. It is not for nothing that many describe the effect of rose oil in such poetic words:

  • the face seems to glow from within;
  • I see the glow of youth in the mirror;
  • I am in a fragrant cloud of harmony and beauty;
  • inhaling the scent of roses, I am happy and soaring.

This is the manifestation of inner light under the harmonizing influence of the rose scent. There is a balancing of internal and external. Beauty is brought out: on the face, body, hair.

How can a rose help if there is no peace and harmony inside? It will make your shadow white, as they say, in the poems of Vyacheslav Butusov. By performing rose oil therapy, you can finally understand what true beauty is. After all, it is in a harmonious balance of internal and external. Beauty will arise if it did not exist. Ugly thoughts, feelings, and actions will go away. Purity will illuminate the soul. It will help if it seems that your life is not real: there is no beauty in your soul, there is no beauty in your deeds. To live a full life, you need to bring your inner and outer worlds into harmony. The scent of a rose will give you a push in the right direction and will help you on the path to finding true harmony and happiness. Let roses bloom in your soul.

Basic Rules

Proper use of cosmetics is the key to beautiful and healthy facial skin, therefore:

  • We add the product only to mixtures at room temperature. Heating above 380°C leads to the destruction of valuable substances;
  • The dosage indicated in the prescription must not be exceeded. The principle “the more the merrier” can lead to unpleasant consequences;
  • Before using the care, you must thoroughly clean your face;
  • maximum course - 15 procedures. After this you need to take a break.

Advice for those who live outside the city

If you are in love with the scent of rose ether, one day you will want to plant a Damask or Centifolia rose in your garden. However, this risks disappointment. Essential oil varieties bloom in one wave in June, the remaining summer months have nothing to admire and nothing to smell - the rose does not bloom. As an experienced rose grower, I recommend placing decorative roses of continuous flowering in your garden, for example, the Westerland variety. Three bushes of these roses near the windows will fill the area with a fabulous pink aroma throughout the summer season.

The unpretentious Westerland rose in my garden continuously throws out clusters of new flowers, spreading a divine aroma

Types and technology of production

Experts say that to produce one liter of oil, it is necessary to process about five tons of freshly picked petals, and depending on the pressing technique, there are the following types of rose oil (essential):

  • Otto is the most valuable variety, obtained by hydrodistillation, has a very rich aroma and is used in perfumery and the production of aphrodisiacs;
  • Absolut - an alcohol filtrate of rose concrete, wax and special fatty acids is used in cosmetology, aromatherapy, and the manufacture of medications for the treatment of reproductive organs.

In addition to the technological features of industrial production, essential oils differ in the varieties of plants processed, the most popular among which are Crimean red, Moroccan centifolia, Gallic, Damascus and Kazanlak types of roses.

There is a home method for obtaining rose ether , according to which refined olive oil is infused with daily new portions of dried petals for a month.

The shelf life of Otto and Absolute is almost unlimited, but inexpensive store-bought and homemade essential oils can be stored for no more than 6-12 months.

Rose oil sold in the mass market is often diluted with ethyl alcohol or diethyl phthalate, and replaced with geranium or synthetic essential oils.

Therefore, the guideline will be the price of about $20 per 1 ml of a natural product and density (at t -1 °C real oil hardens).

Hands love roses

Hands come into contact with millions of bacteria and contaminants every day, so proper hygiene is essential to keep their outer shell healthy. However, you should keep in mind that washing too frequently is not healthy for the skin, as it depletes the surface lipids, disrupts its flora, and as a result, the number of harmful microorganisms actually increases.

You should not underestimate the type of soap you use. Of course, it's best to stay away from those that contain synthetic dyes, preservatives, artificial fragrances and other harsh ingredients, which can irritate your skin and take away from its natural beauty. Instead, choose soaps with natural ingredients and milder properties.

Washing your hands with hot water should also be taboo as it will undoubtedly cause excessive dryness.

Additionally, we must be mindful of the preparation we clean in our homes. If we can't replace them with all-natural or organic ones, it's best to at least limit their contact with the skin by wearing rubber gloves.

Last but not least, freezing cold, scorching sun and strong wind are a factor that we must protect from our hands because extreme weather and sudden changes in temperature deprive the skin of sufficient moisture.

No matter what the weather is (hot, cold or cloudy), the sun should always be a major concern. Sun exposure is one of the leading causes of premature aging, so wearing hand cream can keep your skin looking youthful, fresh and soft.

Rose oil is one of those priceless natural ingredients that will always be enjoyed by the skin on our hands, no matter the time, place or weather.

Due to its powerful antimicrobial and antioxidant properties, essential oil extracted from roses provides excellent protection against a range of pathogens and reduces the need for frequent hand washing.

Containing over 300 different ingredients, rose oil is a nourishing food for the entire body and at the same time a moisturizing drink for the skin. It restores moisture lost due to daily activities or climate, and also covers the hands with a protective film, blocking it from escaping again.

In addition, this wonderful elixir soothes irritations and supports the regeneration of damaged tissue. It also improves blood circulation, preventing frostbite on your hands in winter.

Besides all this, it is an excellent tool for combating solar radiation. It has a sun protection factor (albeit lower than some other oils) and a huge amount of antioxidants that combat photoadhesion (also known as dermatocarbonosis), characterized by rough skin and the appearance of age spots.

MACROVITA Greece products rely on the superior all-encompassing effect of pure Bulgarian rose oil, which, combined with other natural ingredients, provides complete care for the hands - our most “human” feature - the one we use to caress and hug.
