The components of the basic series cream are the following substances:

• Sodium hyaluronate, which retains moisture in the epidermis.
• Urea, which promotes the penetration of moisture into the deep layers of tissue.
• Shea and macadamia oils restore the lipid layer, which is necessary to prevent the loss of excess moisture and maintain skin elasticity.
• Triglycerols of caprylic and capric acids, replenishing the deficiency of intercellular lipids in tissues and reducing moisture loss from the internal layers.

The special cream provides comprehensive care for dry and very dry skin and is a water-in-oil (W/O) emulsion. To achieve the desired effect, Emolium cream must be used twice a day. It is applied in a thin layer to damaged skin areas with increased dryness. Thanks to it, it is possible to increase the effectiveness of treatment and stabilize the condition of the skin.

The only contraindication is individual intolerance to any component in the product. To determine hypersensitivity, you need to apply a small amount of the product to the inside of your wrist. If irritation occurs, use of Emolium cream should be discontinued.

The special series Emolium cream contains all the components of the basic line of products, which specifically support the water-lipid balance of the epidermis. Additional ingredients are the following:

• Arlasilk® Phospholipid GLA. It is produced from the seeds of borage. An important component of the natural substance is gammalinolenic acid, which is a building material for cells. The substance has many beneficial properties that help increase skin elasticity.
• Corn oil triglycerides. The linoleic acid they contain saturates the epidermis with healthy fats, which minimizes moisture loss.

Instructions for use for newborns and older children

Although Emolium preparations are cosmetics and not medicine, they fully participate in the healing process, therefore they must be used competently, according to all the rules, in order to bring the greatest benefit.

The cream is usually used twice a day, applying a thin layer to clean skin. Be sure to use the cream after taking a bath.

Before using the cream gel, the skin is lightly moistened with water, and then a small amount of gel is rubbed on it. They do it carefully.

Children under one year old usually receive water treatments in a small bath. You can add bathing emulsion to it.

Children's volume of the drug is 15 ml. For an adult bath, the volume of product should be doubled. The time of water procedures is 15 minutes.

Moisturizing shampoo is applied to wet hair. Using gentle, gentle movements, distribute it over the head. Wash off with water.

Scalp emulsion is usually used after washing your hair. Apply with massaging movements. Do not wash off with water.

Cheaper analogues

For example, a Russian manufacturer included inexpensive petroleum jelly in the catalog of dermatological preparations, but its use for patients with atopic dermatitis is very limited and it cannot replace Emolium.

Bepanten is somewhat cheaper, however, it is also not a 100% analogue.

Bepanten

You can replace Emolium special cream with the drug Bepanten. The analogue, according to pediatricians, is the best remedy for eliminating skin problems from birth.

The main component of the cheap substitute is dexpanthenol, which has anti-inflammatory, regenerating, soothing and moisturizing properties.

The modern drug Bepanten is available in four main forms.

• cream (ointment);
• body lotion;
• foot cream;
• lip balm;
• hand balm.

The cream has a therapeutic effect. Other cheap products are used mainly to moisturize dry skin.

An analogue is recommended for use to eliminate:

• diaper dermatitis;
• diaper rash;
• microtrauma of the dermis.

A cheap substitute moisturizes the skin of the mammary glands well during breastfeeding.

If a side effect occurs, the patient experiences a dermatological reaction in the form of itching or urticaria.

The analogue of Bepanten is relatively inexpensive - from 400 rubles.

Gistan

If special skin care is required, and Emolium cream or shampoo is “scared” by its price, then you can purchase the drug cheaper. Analogues of the original remedy include Gistan. It is available in the form of a cream (for topical use) and capsules (for general effects, including problems with the dermis on the head).

A cheap analogue is being developed by a Russian pharmaceutical company. Gistan contains mometasone furoate, which has an anti-inflammatory and calming effect on the dermis.

The cheap drug is a glucosteroid and is more rapidly effective in developing:

• seborrhea;
• dermatoses;
• psoriasis.

When using the cream, it is possible to combine the use of special drugs that have a common effect.

Contraindications:

• skin manifestations of syphilis, tuberculosis;
• perioral dermatitis;
• reactions after vaccination;
• acne rosacea;
• bacterial, fungal or viral infection of the epithelium.

A cheap analogue is not recommended for use by children under 2 years of age, patients with intolerance to the components, and women during breastfeeding and pregnancy.
