I believe that, firstly, there is no need to wait for miracles. Secondly, understand what you are buying. And thirdly, be able to apply it. These are the three main problems, why the products are “not suitable” and in general “irritation has appeared.” We’ll talk about this below, and specifically about this tool.
My skin went a little crazy - it began to urgently secrete a lot, a lot of sebum. Previously, the day cream from Siberika was great, but now it has become too greasy, although for oily and combination skin. We had to postpone it until the real winter with -20. I was busy looking for something new. And here's a new product, I decided to try it. I’ll make a reservation right away: I looked at the composition, I don’t understand much in it, but it was still clear that the cream was very inexpensive, and there would be no miracles. But at least all this fat would not be immediately visible. And this is what we have.
1. The packaging looks so-so. But there’s no need to put your fingers into the jar—it’s hygienic.
2. The cream does not flow, so packaging in the form of a tube does not create any inconvenience.
3. Color - light green.
4. Smells like perfume and alcohol.
5. Applied specifically. The feeling of my fingers reminded me of peeling from VoV - also some kind of pellets under my fingers. BUT! if you don’t roll the cream over your face with your fingers for 3 hours, don’t apply too much, don’t apply a thick layer
(this is generally about all products for oily skin),
then everything goes on smoothly, is absorbed well, no problems.
Again, I note that I cleanse the skin well before applying: with cleansing gel and tonic, and only then apply the cream in a THIN LAYER. And I wait a few minutes until it is absorbed.
6. It’s not surprising that it smells like alcohol - just look at the ingredients, everything will become clear.
For those who are very confused by the composition, natural oils await you. For example, shea butter (karite) or grape seed. Even with my oily skin, I regularly apply it as a mask or at night (in winter or after bad weather).
7. Regarding the promised effects. I don’t know how to determine whether the cream is synchronized with the skin type and its individual areas, but there are some effects “on the face” in the literal sense:
a) the skin after applying the cream is even and smooth. No pilling (if applied correctly);
b) absorbs quickly - literally 1-2 minutes (apparently, hello to alcohol);
c) does not sting, including the eyes (in case someone is afraid of alcohol);
d) matting effect available. BUT!
no cream can replace such a simple and understandable thing as powder, don’t expect miracles.
Most of the “shiny” area has ceased to shine, and the rest has noticeably lost its former gloss. The effect lasts for half a day, I can’t say further - I correct my makeup;
d) please note that the cream is for oily and combination skin
. Therefore, you should not be surprised that the effect is “not the same”, there is not enough hydration, etc. — the manufacturer wrote everything honestly. My oily skin reacts to this cream by reducing the amount of sebum, due to which the shine has decreased and my face generally feels better;
e) humidification available. My skin is capricious, so there are flaky areas on the shiny oil (simply lovely!). Oddly enough, the peeling went away after the first use. But if I apply another cream, it peels off again, the T-zone is terribly oily;
g) the cream does not clog pores. Moreover, after switching to this light cream, the small inflammations that appeared disappeared safely and new ones did not appear.
8. I use the cream only as a day cream. Still, the composition is not great, and this alcohol......
In general, the cream is normal, you just need to know how to use it, like any other product (we’ve all seen girls with pieces of lipstick or two bottles of perfume drenched in them. It’s the same thing here). In addition, this cream is specifically for oily and combination skin, I think even for normal moisturizing it will not be enough.
How to use Garnier cleansing gel?
STEP 1: READ THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE LABEL
You have your cleanser on hand and are ready to wash your face. Before you reach for the faucet, take a quick look at the instructions listed on the product label. Why? Because some cleansers (GM, micellar water) should be applied to dry skin, not wet, and this is very important to know before you start.
STEP 2: WASH YOUR HANDS
You don't want dirt, oil, germs or bacteria to silently linger on your hands and transfer to your face, do you? But I do not think so.
STEP 3: WET YOUR FACE WITH WARM WATER
Now is the time to splash some warm water on your skin. Make sure the water is not too hot as this may damage the skin. To maintain skin integrity, room temperature water is your best choice. Then squeeze a ten-cent amount of face wash onto your fingertips and lather.
STEP 4: MASSAGE IN A CIRCULAR MOTION
How you apply your cleanser is just as important as the product, water temperature, and tools! Using your fingertips, gently massage the cleanser into your skin in small circular motions using light pressure. If the formula feels harsh, blot your hands a little more when you wash your face. Do this for about 30 seconds to a minute. Remember, you're washing your face here, not your tires. Don't be vigorous and aggressive with rubbing and tugging - this will only make your skin worse.
STEP 5: RINSE YOUR FACE WITH WARM WATER
Turn the faucet back on, wait until the temperature reaches warm, and splash some water on your skin to remove the detergent. Residue may be lurking around your jaw, nose, ears and hairline, so pay close attention to these areas, using your fingertips if necessary. You may have heard that soaking your face in cold water is better for “closing” your pores, but that's just a myth. Pores don't open and close like a door, so always use warm water on your skin. This is the right option.
STEP 6: GENTLY pat dry with a clean towel.
You've reached the finish line! After washing, rinse your face with a clean, dry cloth or towel, but do not rub it. Aggressive rubbing can irritate, stretch and potentially wrinkle the skin over time if done regularly, essentially undoing all your hard work. Keep in mind that towels are a breeding ground for bacteria, especially when stored in a damp place, so be sure to hang yours in a dry place between uses. Follow up with the rest of the products in your skincare regime—toner, serum, eye cream, moisturizer and what have you—as soon as your skin is dry or, better yet, still a little damp. And it's all!
