  1. Removing moles with a scalpel with sutures and bandages, nitrogen and electrocoagulation is inexorably becoming a thing of the past. To remove formations up to 1 cm, modern medicine has in its arsenal methods that minimally injure the skin. These methods are laser and radio wave surgery. Here we will not delve into their operating principle. Let’s just note that clinical studies have proven that radio waves have less impact on healthy tissue compared to lasers. This is what allows for rapid healing and minimal likelihood of scar formation.
  2. Doctors today have a large number of drugs at their disposal that prevent the development of scars. Their combined use in the postoperative period reduces the likelihood of scarring to almost zero.
  3. Currently, a scar after removal of small (up to 1 cm) moles by an experienced doctor is the exception, not the rule.

Main types of warts:

1. Common (vulgar) warts.
Externally, these are dense papules (nodules) from 1 to 10 mm or more, which as they grow acquire a rough, rough surface. Common warts can be single or multiple. Their favorite location is the hands and fingers (including periungual and subungual), less often - the face, forearms, and shins.

2. Flat warts - the color of the surrounding skin, slightly raised above the surface. Very often the rashes are multiple and small in size (1-5 mm). Usually located on the back of the hands, face, forearms and shins. Laser removal of flat warts allows you to achieve maximum cosmetic effect, which is especially important for open areas of the body - face, hands.

3. Plantar warts They are hard formations with a diameter of 1 mm to several centimeters, with clear boundaries and a rough, rough surface. Removal of plantar warts with a laser They can be light brown, whitish in color, with translucent black dots. According to the name, they are located on the plantar surfaces of the feet and can be single or multiple. As they grow, they can become painful and even make walking very difficult. Plantar warts are often mistaken for dry calluses and attempts are made to remove them on their own, which can result in the growth and spread (dissemination) of warts.

Myth #3. “Removing moles costs a lot of money”

Now on the Internet you can find a variety of prices for this service - from several hundred to tens of thousands of rubles. However, on average, the price for removing one mole in St. Petersburg with histology is about 3-5 thousand.

On the one hand, this is a really significant amount.

From another point of view, every month we leave significantly more money in stores and gas stations. However, you will have to buy food and gasoline for the rest of your life, and after professional removal, moles will no longer appear. You will no longer have to think about how to avoid touching them with clothes, how to protect them from the sun, and whether they have signs of cancer or melanoma.

Don't skimp on your health:

3-5 thousand is not small money. However, they allow you to solve the problem of moles forever, safely and beautifully.

Why is it necessary to remove warts?

Plantar wart removal:

Doctor: Grishko R.V.

The spontaneous disappearance of warts is extremely rare. Much more often, the opposite situation is observed - over time (sometimes it takes only a few weeks) they can increase and appear in other places (dissemination).

Warts, while representing a clear aesthetic defect, can also be accompanied by pathological symptoms and lead to various complications. Thus, periungual warts can cause deformation and detachment of the nail, plantar warts can cause severe pain when walking, so the earlier the removal is performed, the easier the procedure is tolerable, the faster the healing, the more aesthetic the result and the cheaper the procedure.

Which removal method should you prefer?

There are mechanical, chemical and physical methods. Self-removal of warts with chemicals (solcoderm, celandine) often leads to incomplete removal with possible dissemination of the process, leaving larger and more noticeable scars. In addition, for single warts, the price of drugs is almost equal to the cost of removing a wart in a clinic.

Today, the “gold standard” is removal using an ablative laser.

The CO2 laser used to remove warts in our clinic has the following advantages:

  • Thanks to the small thickness of the beam (200 µm), it is possible to precisely influence the tissue;
  • The laser wart removal procedure is radical and one-time;
  • Lack of direct contact of the device with the wound, asepsis, hemostasis (the wound does not bleed);
  • Favorable effect on regeneration, rapid wound healing, virtually no scar.

How is the procedure performed?

Removing warts with a laser looks like this:

  1. The area that will be treated with the laser is disinfected with a special agent.
  2. Local anesthesia is administered. After a few minutes, you can begin directly to remove the tumor.
  3. The wart is exposed to a laser.
  4. The small burn remaining at the site of the neoplasm is disinfected with an antiseptic.

After the procedure, crusts form on the areas treated with the laser. You can’t pick them off - after a while they will come off on their own. To prevent the child from being tempted to tear off these crusts, they should be covered with adhesive tape.

Preparation and carrying out laser removal

Laser removal is preceded by a thorough examination and examination of the tumor. The doctor must be sure of its benign quality; in case of any doubts and the borderline state of the cells, laser technology is not used, but a surgical operation is performed.

During the procedure, under the influence of a laser, heating and layer-by-layer destruction of neoplasm cells occur, so it is impossible to take biological material for subsequent research. Additionally, the doctor surveys the patient about possible contraindications to the procedure, and also conducts a number of studies (blood tests).

No special preparation is required for the procedure. At the appointed time, the patient comes to the specialist, the operation includes the following stages:

  1. Disinfection of the surgical field.
  2. Conducting anesthesia (if necessary). For this, an injection, gel or spray is used.
  3. Installation of the device to the required laser length.
  4. Layer-by-layer evaporation of the neoplasm.
  5. Treat with an antiseptic and apply a bandage if necessary.

To avoid relapse of the disease, it is necessary to carry out antiviral therapy, as well as take immunomodulating and immunostimulating drugs to strengthen the immune system.

What virus causes warts?

Papillomaviruses are a huge family of viruses, some types of which cause warts of various types. The papillomaviruses that cause warts should not be confused with HPV of the genital organs (genital warts, anogenital warts). This virus, and therefore the warts themselves, is transmitted through household contact with patients or through common objects (swimming pools, baths, locker rooms). Infection is also facilitated by a weakened immune system, increased skin permeability, the presence of wounds, scratches, and cracks. Viral warts are flesh-colored, brown, golden, or whitish in color. Appear in groups or singly.
