Natural oils in FEMEGYL® cosmetic products

Harm

Many people mistakenly believe that applying pure oil to the skin gives a wonderful effect.
However, it is worth noting that butter is a fat. It turns out that when applied in its pure form, it clogs the pores and prevents the skin from breathing. The consequences are already known - the appearance of rashes and acne. Among other things, after prolonged use of the oil in its pure form, the skin becomes dry and dehydrated. This may seem strange, but it is indeed true. Yes, if you use it not for too long, it will perfectly moisturize the skin and make it soft by retaining moisture in the skin. However, long-term use of oil is fraught with the destruction of the skin's own water-fat layer. In addition, the film formed by oil on the surface of the skin prevents it from breathing normally and prevents excess moisture from evaporating. All this leads to a complete disruption of the processes occurring in the skin, its condition worsens.

Effect of use

In cosmetology, products obtained from different plants are used, so the spectrum of their action is very wide, each with its own indications for use and the effect it produces. They are obtained from plant materials - seeds, nuts, grains - usually by cold pressing, which allows them to preserve the maximum of useful substances.

Terms of use

In order not to harm the skin, but, on the contrary, to improve its condition, you need to follow some rules.
It is important to understand that oil should not be used without any other means; it cannot completely replace face cream - this can dry out and dehydrate the skin. For example, a good alternative would be to simply add a few drops of oil to your cream. In addition, manufacturers carefully select the composition of care products. It also contains oils (from 10 to 40 percent), but in addition to them, the cream or serum also contains other components that are beneficial for the skin. Therefore, a properly selected cream will be much more effective and healthy, especially if it is chosen taking into account the age-related characteristics of the skin.

The oil can also be applied pointwise to individual areas that require appropriate care. Or, for example, when there are no other moisturizers at the moment. It can even be applied as a base for cream. This is explained by the fact that oil simply retains moisture in the skin, but it itself is not water, it is fat. It turns out that you also need replenishment in the form of a cream.

Beneficial features

In terms of the content of vitamins and biologically active substances beneficial to the body, vegetable oils are significantly superior to synthetic products, and do not contain harmful substances. Due to the absence of preservatives, fragrances, dyes and other chemicals, the risk of allergic reactions when using the products is minimal, although the possibility of individual intolerance must be taken into account. In most cases, these products are suitable for the most sensitive skin. And most importantly, in their composition they are close to human sebum, which determines their excellent perception by the dermis, good absorption and maximum absorption of nutrients. Below is a list of properties they have:

  • nutritious;
  • moisturizing;
  • softening;
  • cleansing;
  • anti-aging (stimulation of collagen synthesis);
  • tonic;
  • anti-inflammatory;
  • normalization of the function of the sebaceous glands.

Consequences

If the skin has already become dry, and after washing there is a constant feeling of tightness, you should stop using the oil on an ongoing basis and consult a dermatologist. Normal moisturized skin does not show itself in any way if no care product has been applied - it is simply unnoticeable. If you experience significant discomfort after washing your face, you need to reconsider how to moisturize your skin.

The use of essential oils in cosmetology

In order not to harm your health, you need to use aromatic oils by adhering to the following rules:

What oils are needed and why?

Before choosing the right oil, let's first understand what functions different types of oils perform.

Basic cosmetic oils are divided into groups:

  • Stabilizing oils.
    These include jojoba oil, marula tree seed oil, sesame seed oil and others. These oils do not cause allergic rashes, do not irritate the skin, they are stable and do not undergo oxidation, so their use in skin care cosmetics is quite universal. They can be used as a base for a mixture of oils. Suitable as an emollient for and after tanning.
  • Basic caregivers.
    These are macadamia oil, grape seed oil, avocado oil, sweet almond oil, and others. They restore skin regeneration, protecting it from harmful environmental factors, toxins and radicals, including the sun, so caring oils are one of the components of sunscreen. Due to its resistance to oxidation and excellent moisturizing and absorbing properties, it is mainly used as a base in oil compositions.
  • Active oils.
    Only 5-10% is added to the composition for safety reasons; they quickly oxidize under the influence of oxygen and the sun. These include cranberry oil, elderberry oil, evening primrose oil, caraway oil and others.
  • Butters
    - shea butter, cocoa and coconut butter, mango butter and others. They are solid in consistency, but upon contact with the skin they melt pleasantly and penetrate the skin. Quite fatty oils, but they perfectly protect the skin; some act on the stratum corneum of the skin, while others in this group can penetrate deeper.

Depending on the skin type and the desired effect, compositions are made that are made up of several cosmetic oils, combining them from each group.
