Contraindications

Situations when the use of Relatox should be excluded:

• the patient's age is less than 18 years;
• inflammation of the skin in the area of ​​manipulation;
• any acute infections, colds;
• pronounced ptosis of the soft tissues of the face;
• hernias, eyelid polyps;
• the first 3 months after any surgical intervention on the face, teeth, jaws;
• pregnancy and lactation;
• intolerance to the components of the drug.

There are also relative contraindications, in which the administration of Relatox is possible only in cases of extreme necessity and very carefully:

• diseases with impaired neuromuscular transmission, for example, myasthenia gravis, Lambert-Eaton syndrome;
• keratitis and other inflammatory eye diseases;
• bruising at the site of the intended injection;
• high myopia and angle-closure glaucoma (introduction is possible after consultation with an ophthalmologist);
• suffered severe allergic reactions to protein preparations, vaccines.

Before piercing the bottle cap, it is treated with medical alcohol. It is prohibited to open the container with the medicine. The doctor injects the required amount of saline into the bottle through the puncture. After the powder is completely dissolved, a clear liquid is formed.

The resulting solution is injected into the required points on the face using an insulin syringe and a 27-29 mm long needle.

Depending on the initial concentration of the drug (50 or 100 units) and the volume introduced into the saline bottle, one milliliter of the resulting liquid contains from 1.25 to 5 units of Relatox.

The main active ingredient is the combination of botulinum toxin type A with hemagglutinin.

The drug is a lyophilisate, that is, a powder placed in a bottle in a dosage of 50 or 100 units. Each bottle is packaged in an individual polymer container. The drug is sterile and non-toxic when used as directed.
