Diamond microdermabrasion of the face - what is it, devices, creams for enzyme micropeeling. Price of the procedure

What is diamond microdermabrasion?

Diamond microdermabrasion is a type of removal of dead skin that normalizes the activity of the sebaceous glands, improves blood flow, and removes deep impurities from the skin.

Diamond peeling is a superficial procedure. Its task is to renew the top layer of skin.

How is facial microdermabrasion performed in a beauty salon?

If you want to get a guaranteed effect after a course of treatment, you must follow the recommendations of specialists. The procedure consists of several steps.

  • Preparation. At this stage, it is recommended to use specific products that help soften the outer layer of the skin and make cleaning easier.
  • Cleansing. Removing makeup residues using special products that prepare for the procedure.
  • Grinding with microcrystals or diamond nozzles. Depending on the type and thickness of the skin, the session lasts from 20 to 40 minutes.
  • Application of skin softening and soothing agents that accelerate regeneration and relieve inflammation.

The duration and number of microdermabrasion sessions depend on the specifics of the patient’s skin, as well as on the specific defects that need to be eliminated. To eliminate minor deficiencies, 5-8 procedures are enough. In any case, you should trust only professionals, whose skill and experience will allow you to carry out the necessary grinding procedure efficiently. Residents of Moscow can find such highly qualified specialists in the city.

Contraindications to facial microdermabrasion

Women with chronic skin diseases have contraindications to microdermabrasion . These can be dermatitis of various etymologies and allergic reactions. Particularly sensitive skin to any intervention also serves as an obstacle.

Patients suffering from diabetes and viral infections should avoid diamond peeling and grinding. The cosmetologist must pay attention to the general condition of the woman and reserve the right to prescribe additional tests before the procedure.

Differences between diamond dermabrasion and microdermabrasion

Diamond dermabrasion differs from microdermabrasion in the depth of impact on the skin. Microdermabrasion is the removal of the superficial keratinized layer of skin. The cleaning procedure does not cause any discomfort; the skin immediately after cleaning has a normal appearance.

Diamond dermabrasion involves a deeper cleansing of the skin pores, is used in difficult cases, causes microtrauma , the recovery period after such cleaning is 7 days, after the diamond dermabrasion procedure, the treated areas turn red and swell.

Benefits of the procedure

  • Well tolerated and painless.
    Unlike other techniques, in most cases it does not even require local anesthesia.
  • Minimal traumatic impact
    . Allowing the procedure to be carried out even with increased skin sensitivity.
  • Fast recovery
    . Microdermabrasion is not accompanied by a pronounced recovery period, so after its completion you can immediately leave the clinic and return to your normal lifestyle.
  • High efficiency
    . After grinding, small defects disappear completely, and larger ones become much less noticeable.

That is why many cosmetologists offer microdermabrasion sessions to eliminate skin defects, the results of which satisfy even the most demanding clients.

Indications for use

Diamond microdermabrasion is a type of facial cleansing technique in which the thinnest layer of the upper epidermis is removed.

Diamond skin resurfacing has the following indications:

  • dull skin color, pigmentation;
  • skin irregularities: scars, wrinkles, stretch marks;
  • contaminated enlarged pores, acne;
  • loss of tenderness of the top layer of skin;
  • initial stage of cellulite;
  • tattoos;
  • age-related changes in the skin.

Results after the procedure

After the procedure, positive changes in the condition of the skin immediately become noticeable, manifested by its smoothing and the appearance of a healthy blush. Skin tone improves significantly and becomes more even.

If the neckline and arms were subjected to microdermabrasion, their skin changed for the better, it became more elastic, and pigmentation was removed from it. In addition to these parts of the body and face, it is possible to perform skin resurfacing on the abdomen, thighs, and buttocks, which gives no less effect.

Contraindications

Diamond skin cleaning cannot be performed in the following cases:

  • intolerance to the effects of diamond crystals;
  • unrestored immune defense after recent illnesses;
  • skin lesions;
  • dilated small blood vessels;

    Diamond microdermabrasion is contraindicated for rosacea

  • the presence of moles and cancerous tumors;
  • epilepsy, asthma;
  • pregnancy;
  • skin rashes caused by viruses and fungi.

Precautionary measures

The manipulation has a very low risk of developing any complications or side effects. An initial examination is usually sufficient to prescribe facial microdermabrasion.

If the technique is followed, side effects are extremely rare. Peeling, dryness, swelling and redness are a normal reaction that goes away within 3-4 days.

Contraindications:

  • pregnancy and lactation;
  • acute inflammatory skin diseases (boils, carbuncles);
  • viral infections;
  • fever of any nature;
  • malignant neoplasms;
  • dilated vessels;
  • tendency to form keloid scars;
  • hypersensitive, irritated dermis;
  • multiple moles;
  • endocrine diseases in the stage of sub- or decompensation.

Buyanov Sergey Yurievich (Expert Doctor):

The microdermabrasion procedure is not performed in the presence of telangiectasia - “spider veins”. Manipulation in such an area is not only useless, but can be dangerous, that is, cause bleeding.

Stages of implementation

Diamond facial skin cleansing is carried out in the following stages:

  1. Preparatory stage: the skin is cleansed of makeup and dirt, degreased, treated with a scrub, and steamed. Large sebaceous plugs are removed mechanically.

  2. At the main stage, the specialist treats the skin with a device that has replaceable attachments with tiny diamond particles.
  3. At the final stage, restorative creams, masks, and serums are applied to the skin.

Cosmetologists recommend microdermabrasion no more than once a week.

The usual course consists of 6 procedures. Deep wrinkles, tattoos, and serious scars will disappear after 10 procedures. To maintain the results, it is enough to repeat the diamond peeling once every 3 months.

How is facial dermabrasion performed?

Light facial peeling is performed with a special device using a nozzle with a rough diamond coating. The master strictly controls the intensity of the impact, the force of pressure, preventing excessive abrasive effect and too deep damage to the epithelium. The nozzle is in contact with the skin, providing soft and painless removal of dead tissue.

For regular maintenance, not too coarse nozzles are used. The direction of movement of the device is not of fundamental importance; what is important is the exposure time and the correct pause between procedures. Dermabrasion lasts about 20 minutes; at the end of the session, the master applies products that soothe the skin of the face, or begins further procedures planned as part of the complex.

Selection of peeling creams

When choosing a peeling product, the main thing you need to pay attention to is the composition of the cleansing components. It must strictly correspond to this skin type.

Peeling creams include:

  • fruit and lactic acids;
  • ascorbic, carbolic, salicylic acids;
  • resorcinol, polymers, fragrances;
  • small particles of pumice, salt, almonds, apricot kernels;
  • vegetable oils, hyaluronic acid, collagen, elastin.

It is recommended to use peelings after 15 years. The objectives of peeling at a young age: getting rid of fat, dirt and dead cells. At the age of 40, peeling creams containing active acids begin to be used.

Peeling creams have no contraindications because they contain a tiny amount of aggressive components.

For young skin (up to 25 years of age), superficial glycolic peels are suitable. Their action is aimed at painlessly removing dead skin cells, improving skin health, and slowing down aging.

From 25 to 35 years old, peelings containing fruit acids and glycolic acid are used. Such peelings fight the first age-related changes in the skin and age spots.

After the age of 35, the skin requires deeper cleansing; for this purpose, medium chemical peels are used. Such products relieve the skin of deep wrinkles, improve complexion, and promote the production of collagen and elastin.

At the age of 50 years and older, the skin undergoes serious changes:

  • deep wrinkles;
  • loss of elasticity;
  • gray complexion, pigmentation.

To combat such troubles, deep peeling is used, which destroys the first 2 layers of skin. Deep peelings tighten the oval of the face, remove wrinkles, scars and age spots.

What is dermabrasion

Dermabrasion is a type of mechanical peeling, the essence of which is layer-by-layer grinding of the skin using special devices with abrasive attachments. The technique allows you to remove all layers of the epidermis down to the papillary layer of the dermis. The depth of impact is determined by the doctor after examination and consultation. After the procedure, smoothing of the skin texture and elimination of aesthetic defects are noted.

Dermabrasion is prescribed strictly according to indications and is carried out in a cosmetology clinic only by an experienced specialist who has the appropriate certificate. Strict adherence to the rules of asepsis and antisepsis can prevent the development of complications.

Based on the depth of exposure, superficial (<50 µm deep, to the basal membrane of the epidermis), middle (<120 µm, level of the basal layer of the skin), deep (150 µm, papillary layer) dermabrasion is distinguished.

After resurfacing, regional blood flow and lymphatic drainage improve, metabolic processes at the cellular level are normalized, and natural regeneration processes are launched. The technique stimulates the synthesis of collagen and fibrillar proteins, which restores the firmness and elasticity of the skin. Active synthesis of hyaluronate eliminates dryness and smoothes the relief of the dermis. As a result, the skin acquires a physiological shade, and aesthetic defects are eliminated.

Which devices are suitable for home use?

When choosing a device for self-cleaning your skin, you should pay attention to:

  1. Power. The higher the power, the deeper the effect on the skin. It is better to choose devices with adjustable power.
  2. Device dimensions. Facial cleansing devices should be lightweight and compact.
  3. Multifunctionality. Peeling devices with additional capabilities will not only provide high-quality skin cleansing, but also massage, tighten the oval of the face, and perform ionization.
  4. Production and price. It is better to buy devices from trusted manufacturers with a warranty card and a quality certificate.

Independent microcrystalline facial peeling is carried out using the following devices:

  • peeling device Gezatone lonic-Ultrasonic m360;

  2. reduction in the percentage of pigmentation on the skin;
  3. stimulation of elastin and collagen production;
  4. launch of regeneration processes.

The effect can be observed after the first session. The skin will become much healthier and fresher.

Moreover, the technique can be used not only on the face. Microcrystalline dermabrasion with longer courses can cope with:

  1. smoothing scars and scars that remain after surgery;
  2. getting rid of acne scars;
  3. reducing the area of pigment spots;
  4. masking burns;
  5. reducing the number of enlarged pores and fat content of the epidermis;
  6. struggle with grayness of face;
  7. adjusting stretch marks.

Peeling at home

Diamond microdermabrasion is a delicate peeling action that can be performed at home using special devices.

Before the deep cleaning procedure, makeup is removed from the face, the skin is cleansed of dirt and degreased. Next, a special gel peeling agent is applied to the face in a thick layer.

The movement of the nozzle of the portable cleaning device is slow and light. The angle of inclination of the nozzle relative to the skin should be 45°. Problem areas of the skin are treated with the device 3 times. After completing treatment with the device, the remaining gel product is washed off with water. The skin is moisturized with cream.

Properly performed home peeling is not inferior in quality to similar salon procedures. The only downside to at-home peeling is that cleansers and exfoliators will not help remove scars.

Types of home peeling: mechanical (using electrical devices for cleaning the skin or special soft brushes), chemical (using ready-made cosmetics) and natural (self-prepared compositions using natural ingredients).

When performing deep skin cleansing at home, you must adhere to the following rules:

  • Before using a chemical cleanser, conduct an allergy test and strictly follow the instructions for use;

  • any exfoliating agent is applied to previously cleansed and degreased skin;
  • peeling compositions are not applied to the skin around the eyes;
  • Do not use decorative cosmetics for several days after peeling.

Recipes for preparing facial peels at home:

  1. Mix 1 tsp. crushed orange, lemon and tangerine zest, add 18 ml of olive oil, mix, apply to the skin with massage movements, leave for 5 minutes. Wash off with warm water.
  2. To prepare honey peeling cream, mix 30 ml of liquid honey with 45 ml of lemon juice, add 1 tbsp. l. bran, the composition is applied to the face for 30 minutes.
  3. Rejuvenating peeling cream is prepared from pomegranate seeds, oatmeal, honey and kefir. You will need 200 grams of oatmeal for the mask. Honey, kefir and pomegranate seeds - 2 tbsp. l. All ingredients are mixed in a blender. The mask is applied to the face for 3 minutes.
  4. For a curd exfoliating and rejuvenating mask, you will need to mix 9 ml of olive oil, 5 g of rice flour and 2 tbsp. l. cottage cheese. The cream is rubbed into heated skin, left for 15 minutes, and washed off with water.

  5. You can prepare excellent anti-aging peeling creams yourself using ground coffee, adding warm honey, fruit pulp, sour cream or yogurt, and vegetable oils. The components are mixed, the mixture is applied to the face for 5 minutes.

For normal skin types, coffee and sour cream peelings are prepared with the addition of honey, vegetable oils, salt, fruit and oatmeal.

For combination skin, peelings containing sour berry juice, orange and almond oil, sugar, yolks, oatmeal, salt, honey, and clay are more suitable. Oily skin will need soap and sugar, cucumber pulp and rose oil, clay and almonds for deep cleansing. To deeply cleanse dry skin, use cottage cheese, sour cream, citrus oil and zest, strawberries, and bran.

Microdermabrasion - reviews

Advantages:

improvement of skin tone, reduction of pores

Flaws:

expensive

I had microdermabrasion last fall. Of course the effect is not bad. But it hurt a little. The essence of the procedure is that a special device is used to polish the face, a kind of peeling. To really see results, you need to do several procedures. This is quite a lot of money. I only had two procedures, I noticed that my pores became smaller and my complexion improved. I want to do a few more sandings to see the final result.

Advantages:

When normal care is useless. Aligns, smoothes, restores tone and complexion, has a beneficial effect on the appearance of the face.

Flaws:

Not suitable for extremely sensitive skin.

Last September, I decided for the first time to try a major procedure to smooth out the skin texture, since conventional skin care products could not cope with the problems that had arisen. The cost of the procedure varies from thousand to three depending on the salon. My skin is extremely problematic, prone to oiliness, comedones, rosacea, so I went in with fear and caution. A little about the procedure itself: micro-resurfacing of the skin using a vacuum suction device. The nozzles of this device are coated with diamond dust. In other words, the keratinized layer of cells is removed, while all the blackheads and impurities that did not have time to be removed by the nozzle are additionally sucked out of the pores as if through a vacuum cleaner) Grinding is used both on the face and throughout the body, where it is required. Since the diamond coating on the nozzle consists of extremely small particles, the procedure itself is atraumatic and suitable for sensitive skin. But nevertheless, it is better to consult a cosmetologist. People often talk about painful sensations during the procedure, but I personally haven’t noticed any. The sensations, let’s say, on the contrary, are quite pleasant, as if a new breath is awakening). Afterwards, of course, a slight redness occurs, which quickly disappears after a couple of hours. After the procedure, the skin is very smooth, but it does not really get rid of blackheads. In any case, a course of at least five procedures is required, and the effect lasts for a week)

Advantages:

no

Flaws:

expensive and ineffective

A cosmetologist advised me to do microdermabrasion. I have post-acne problems and, according to her, taking a course of 10-15 procedures was simply necessary. Well, I agreed, she knows better, I thought. The general impression from the first procedure: it was a little painful, in some places it seemed like the face was scratched, but in appearance there was only redness. I went through 20 procedures, and the result was nothing. I threw away a lot of money, wasted a lot of time, but remained in the same place where I started - the acne remains as it was. The cosmetologist said that I needed 10 more pieces, but no, this is not a cheap waste of time. This may be an excellent procedure for easily maintaining facial skin tone, but nothing more. As for me, cryomassage is better. I did the procedures every week for 20 weeks, I kept hoping for a miracle, but I don’t hope anymore. In short, I do not recommend this scam.

Painless, evens out skin tone, visually refreshes the face, soft smooth skin

A little expensive, can cause inflammation, dries out, does not tighten pores

My child has finally started going to kindergarten regularly, I haven’t gone to work yet, and as a result, I have free time and extra thoughts. Here is one of them: “I’m 32 years old, old age is just around the corner, it’s time to somehow start taking care of my face, do regular skincare procedures, go to a cosmetologist, in the end.” Having studied the question, I found out that salon peeling is a very useful procedure for the skin. Photos of faces after chemical peeling somehow scared me, so I decided on microdermabrasion for myself.

A little about my skin: normal, slightly oily on the nose with blackheads. For daily care - morning and evening, foam cleanser + tonic. Last year I started using a scrub once every 1.5 weeks (by the way, this fact had no effect on the number of blackheads). Basically, that's it. It is quite rare to use cream only before bedtime. Usually it happens like this: “I need to start using the cream regularly,” I think. I buy a cream that is not the cheapest, smear it on for 2-3 weeks, then I start to get lazy about doing it every day (especially since I don’t see any effect from the cream) and gradually quit. It's the same story with masks.

In general, I came, the verdict was this: there are a lot of blackheads on the nose, so first of all it is necessary to do manual facial cleansing, and then after a couple of days microdermabrasion. I read that up to 5-6 procedures are necessary, but the cosmetologist said that my skin is soft and there is no strong keratinization, one is enough for me. By the way, she was very surprised that I was 32 and said that I was well preserved for my age (kind of a compliment). In general, on the same day they cleaned me, except for my nose, there were no clogged pores anywhere else. But after cleansing, the skin became very dry and flaky, especially on the nose. But this seems to be within normal limits.

After 4 days I came for microdermabrasion. First, the skin was cleaned, then the procedure itself began: a special nozzle coated with abrasive particles was passed over the face. The feeling is normal, I even liked it. All this lasted 7-10 minutes. The procedure itself cost 1,000 rubles, after which it was still possible to make a mask for 350 rubles. I didn’t intend to, but the cosmetologist said that after cleansing the skin became very dry, plus after peeling it also needed nutrition, blah blah blah, so they made me a nourishing aldehyde mask. When I stood up and looked at my face, on my nose I saw pieces of green dead skin, really green, with normal pink visible underneath. The cosmetologist said that they did not come off during peeling, but they would come off when washing. The rest of the face was visually unchanged, just reddened. Recommendations: buy a rich nourishing cream, because after peeling the skin needs nutrition.

In the evening, I washed my face as usual and applied the moisturizing cream that was in stock (I didn’t have time to buy a nourishing oily one), my skin stung noticeably when applying the cream. The reflection in the mirror in the morning made me very, very happy: the redness had subsided, the tone was perfect, the relief was perfect, plus the skin felt amazingly silky to the touch. My green pieces on my nose fell off. For those. who is waiting for a miracle - expression lines have not disappeared, pores have not narrowed. I walked around happy all day, and in the evening I washed my face and applied cream. In the morning I wake up, everything is no longer so rosy, the skin became irritated, dry, began to peel, and by the evening I was covered in pimples, about 10 of them popped up. I was shocked, especially since this all happened on March 7, on the eve of my favorite holiday. The pimples were strange, without pronounced inflammation, without a head with pus, and most of them were painless. My acne My acneThe process of pimple formation lasted 4 days, i.e. old pimples did not go away, but new ones appeared. I heavily coated myself with Zenerite and didn’t use any creams at all, but somehow it didn’t get any better. On the contrary, Zenerit dried out my already irritated skin even more. After 3 days of struggle, I quit Zinerit and changed the strategy: masks with white clay, chamomile and tea tree oil and active moisturizing with my cream morning and evening. And the acne began to disappear literally before our eyes, they simply turned pale and disappeared. I don't know what it was and why it happened. Some kind of allergic reaction? Insufficient hygiene of skin damaged by peeling? Irregularities during the procedure? I don’t know, but I went through several very unpleasant days, and, thank God, I escaped with a slight fright. After acne disappears

After a little over a week, my skin returned to normal, but became very sensitive and dry. If earlier the feeling of tightness after washing was easily removed with a tonic, now this was not enough, the skin still remained tight, and it was necessary to apply cream. After two weeks it went away. Overall result: the skin is the same as it was before the procedure (ordinary skin, not particularly smooth, not particularly tender).

Despite my bad history with acne, I still hope that microdermabrasion has benefited my skin by renewing it (the green nose episode especially gives me this hope). Will I do it again? Perhaps, but this time with the most thorough aftercare and without a mask.

I chose the microdermabrasion course as a gift for my 8th birthday.

Well, partly I didn’t believe in it, since my skin is quite problematic, after some incredible subcutaneous acne as a teenager, I was left with deep scars, and it also contributed to the fact that a year ago I had chickenpox and there were more of them.

My skin care at home is always steaming and cleansing, a hard scrub (since I was 12 years old), which for the last year I have been alternating with acid peeling, and masks, which now mostly contain collagen. And in principle, I can say that the edges of the scars have begun to smooth out.

But you always want a quick and more noticeable result, and some deep peelings, incl. I'm afraid of laser resurfacing. Accordingly, that's why I chose a more gentle procedure - microdermabrasion.

Here is the machine on which it was done for me.

The promises, of course, were that the scars would become smoother and the skin more even. But it doesn't work for me at all. My skin is oily and thick, accustomed to a good scrub and cleansing, so I practically did not see the effect of microdermabrasion, the exfoliation was not complete, the pores were not cleaned, the scars were not smoothed out. Well, the only thing is that the complexion improved due to the blood flow to the skin during exposure to the diamond nozzle.

It doesn’t feel painful, it just feels like an iron file is being mechanically driven across the face. The redness on the face goes away after about 5 hours, for me personally.

I will say that the procedure is a little expensive for such a not so good result.

Probably microdermabrasion will help those who treated their skin sparingly and did not use aggressive exfoliating procedures, then the peeling effect will be on the face. But you shouldn’t expect any miracles; most likely you won’t.

Evens out skin tone

Doesn't get rid of scars, doesn't narrow pores

Since I was 13 years old I have been suffering from acne, after which there were scars, medium scars, i.e. not superficial and not deep. To combat them, I decided to take a course of diamond peeling (microdermabrasion). I did 10 procedures of midline microdermabrasion (without blood dew), I did it once a week. In total, I spent 15,000 rubles. The procedure is tough, that is, it was painful, but tolerable. After the procedure I was as red as cancer, the redness lasted less than a day, i.e. for example, the procedure was done at 5 pm, in the morning I was already in normal condition. After about 3-4 days, an imperceptible crust appeared on the face, which had to be lubricated with a rich cream; I used depanthenol. After about 2 days, the crust began to peel and peel off. That is, within a week the skin was restored. What can I say about this procedure: the skin tone will definitely even out, i.e. will acquire a healthy color; some scars will become less noticeable due to smoothing of their edges, the pores are not clearly narrowed and not a single scar will disappear from the face. In principle, I think this procedure will not help even with superficial scars. Good luck to all! Look for another remedy for scars!

PS During your period, don’t even think about doing this procedure, it will be terribly ugly on your face for a week, you will be ashamed to appear on the street (personal experience, because, unfortunately, my cosmetologist did not warn me about this).

I've always had skin problems. As they say, not one thing is the other. During puberty I got rid of acne, but traces of it remained. Now the first wrinkles have begun to appear. And in general the skin looks terrible. All uneven, as if there were some kind of lumps, gray in one word - horror. I decided to go for the procedure after rave reviews. I went through several sessions and my skin condition worsened. I was shocked, not only was the money spent but there was no result coupled with new problems. Later it turned out that after microdermabrasion the skin is exposed. The top layer is still removed, and as a result, new inflammations and even acne may appear. Simply put, all the problems that were hidden under layers of keratinized cells come to light. It’s good that I completed the course and didn’t quit. Now the skin looks much better. During the procedures, I felt a slight tingling sensation, nothing more.

Details:

From the age of twenty (which is surprising, because teenage acne in girls usually ends) I started having problems with my skin, and I went to beauty salons as if it were my home. Unfortunately, facial cleansing did not solve the problem. Not only was it very painful (they squeezed it out with a metal stick), but also the inflammatory process began with a vengeance. I came home with a bright red face, and for the next days I walked around with scabs. And the pimples appeared more and more often. As a result, I decided not to go anymore and solve the problem on my own. True, the problem was solved by covering up acne and scars from them with foundation.

Recently, a friend, a physician by training, advised me to go to her sister’s salon for a new procedure - they say that the skin will be sanded and the scars will disappear. In the spring I got ready. The cosmetologist examined my skin and agreed to perform the procedure. In case of inflammation, microdermabrasion is prohibited. To be honest, I was in pain, but not unbearably so. You can tolerate it. After the session, small, shallow scars disappeared, and the skin became lighter. She recommended the next session only in the fall, because it is better not to carry out the procedure in the summer, since the sun is contraindicated or something. Pimples pop up much less. But deep scars still remain. I'm gathering my courage to go to a new session. I'm afraid of pain, apparently my sensitivity threshold is very high.

Results of the procedure: before and after photos

Diamond microcrystalline peeling or microdermabrasion gives the following results:

  • immediately after the cleansing session, the skin turns a little pink, after a maximum of 2 days the natural color of healthy skin returns;
  • skin pores are narrowed;
  • the surface of the skin is smooth and soft;
  • wrinkles are smoothed out, the skin is more elastic;
  • scars, scars, stretch marks become less noticeable;
  • pigmentation is eliminated;
  • the functioning of the sebaceous glands is normalized;

  • oily shine is eliminated;
  • Decorative cosmetics apply smoothly and make-up lasts longer.

The essence of the procedure

Sterile microcrystals of corundum (Al2O3) mechanically separate the upper layers of keratinized epidermal cells and facilitate their removal from the surface of the face.

During the procedure, devices are used that have a combined effect on the dermis of microcrystals and their reabsorption by a vacuum pump. Sand is supplied under pressure through one hole in the handle of the device, and through another the particles are quickly sucked back.

In modern equipment, abrasive particles pass through an isolated supply and suction system, so the procedure is considered completely safe. The attachments can be coated with diamond or sapphire for an antimicrobial effect.

Efficiency

The microdermabrasion procedure is indicated in the following cases:

  • fine-wrinkled type of aging, wrinkles;
  • scarring;
  • hyperpigmentation;
  • hyperkeratosis;
  • comedones;
  • acne and post-acne;
  • increased fat content of the dermis;
  • enlarged pores.

Mechanical removal of horny scales opens the pores, reflexively stimulates microcirculation in the deep layers of the dermis and promotes cell division in the basal layer of the epidermis.

Thanks to this, the skin is literally renewed, becoming impeccably fresh and radiant. The abrasive effect allows you to smooth out the nervousness of tone and relief, and increase the elasticity of tissues.

High-quality medium mechanical peeling can get rid of stretch marks and shallow scars.

Reviews about the effectiveness of the procedure

Diamond microdermabrasion is a type of removal of dead skin cells that is gentle on the skin.

Women who, among a huge variety of peelings and cleansings, choose diamond micropeeling, leave the following reviews:

  • The first procedure is quite painful; redness is observed on the skin. The redness goes away the next day. After 2 days, peeling of the top layer of skin begins. Peeling can last up to 5 days. After 5 days, the skin becomes smooth and elastic.
  • When undergoing the 2nd procedure of diamond microdermabrasion, there is virtually no pain, minor redness, and the skin does not peel off.
  • If you use diamond micropeeling to remove blackheads on oily skin, the effect after the 1st procedure will be practically unnoticeable, only the complexion will improve due to the massage effect. Acne and acne marks will go away after several treatments.
  • Diamond microcrystalline peeling is an effective rejuvenating procedure. After such delicate polishing, wrinkles disappear over time, massage stimulates collagen production. To get rid of wrinkles you will need to undergo at least 6 procedures.
  • Microdermabrasion removes tattoos from the surface of the skin and corrects stretch marks. To remove a tattoo you will need to complete a course consisting of 5 procedures. Unfortunately, stretch marks cannot be completely removed. Diamond polishing of the skin will help make them less noticeable.
  • Diamond microdermabrasion is an expensive but effective procedure; 75% of women recommend it regularly.

Devices for diamond skin resurfacing act only on the surface, without penetrating into the deeper layers of the skin. With this exposure, the risk of complications is minimized. Microdermabrasion delicately renews the skin, and when undergoing a set of procedures, it successfully combats unpleasant changes.

What are the types of facial microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion with aluminum oxide crystals.

This procedure involves grinding with the help of tiny crystals, which are applied under pressure to the skin through a system of special tubes. These crystals have an “abrasive” snowflake or star shape and are hypoallergenic. Penetrating into the top layer, they are fixed on the keratinized particles and, together with them, are removed with a special vacuum apparatus. The procedure does not require pain relief, as the patient only feels a slight tingling sensation. At microscopic points where the top layer of epidermal tissue is removed (“microwells”), the removed skin particles are rapidly replaced by young cells. Thus, in one microdermabrasion procedure, a double effect is carried out: polishing the upper layers of the epidermis and smoothing by stimulating the growth of new cells.

Diamond microdermabrasion.

This procedure is similar to similar systems for home use. The only difference is that with diamond microdermabrasion, the crystals work directly on the skin, removing dead cells using a special vacuum, while with aluminum grinding, microparticles are supplied under pressure through an air jet. Diamond microdermabrasion is, in fact, a more gentle method that can be used on delicate areas of the skin, since it does not injure the cornea of the eyes or the border of the lips. This procedure is also called diamond peeling. Depending on the condition of the epidermis, the duration of the course can range from 3-4 to 15-20 procedures. Thanks to this resurfacing, many aesthetic imperfections of the skin are eliminated: wrinkles, acne scars, scars, loss of elasticity, stretch marks, enlarged pores, etc.

Oxygen microdermabrasion.

With this type of procedure, the effect on the skin is carried out using not only an air flow of crystals, but also oxygen supplied under high pressure. This allows for more gentle resurfacing and reduces side effects. Oxygen has a regenerating effect on damaged epithelial cells and also reduces the proliferation of bacteria, which helps reduce inflammatory processes.

Hydrodermabrasion. With this type of grinding, a double effect on the skin occurs: treatment with abrasive microcrystals and an aqueous solution containing biologically active substances.

When can I do it?

Microdermabrasion is a procedure that has no special age restrictions. Starting from the period when age-related acne passes, you can contact a cosmetologist for this service. Thirteen to sixteen years are the period when Toddlers are most prone to skin problems. Hormonal changes occurring in the body affect appearance. Rashes, acne - all this accompanies adolescence and causes complexes in children.

To minimize psychological discomfort, cosmetologists recommend facial cleansing from the age of thirteen. This range of services will help minimize hormonal rashes, cleanse the dermis of dead particles, thereby forcing it to renew itself faster.

Preparatory stage

Microcrystalline dermabrasion is created by grinding the top layer of the epidermis with small crystals. The process is completely painless and non-traumatic, however, there are nuances that are recommended to be observed before the session itself:

  1. It is worth putting all scrubbing products and peelings aside if you are going to visit a dermabrasion service. A couple of days before the session, leave only toner and wash with warm water in your care.
  2. At the initial consultation, discuss with the specialist all the issues related to the procedure. Tell us about the skincare products you use and any skin diseases you may suffer from.
  3. For fourteen days, it is strongly recommended to stop smoking and drinking alcoholic beverages.
  4. Hormonal drugs and blood thinners can affect the procedure, so you must first take a course of the necessary medications and, after finishing, just make an appointment with a specialist for resurfacing.
  5. Before the main session, the cosmetologist can test for allergies to the drugs used.
