STOP! Stop doing hyaluronic acid injections every six months! Only two-stage contour plastic surgery of nasolabial folds can be truly effective!

Contour plastic surgery is the filling of wrinkles using gel fillers (fillers). This technique is used to correct wrinkles of any depth, folds, receding scars, changing the shape and increasing the volume of the lips, correcting the oval of the face and cheekbones. With the help of contour plastic surgery, you can instantly remove nasolabial folds, emphasize the contour of the lips and the shape of the cheekbones.

Currently, natural filler gels, so-called fillers, based on stabilized hyaluronic acid are used. Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of the skin and therefore does not cause allergic or other adverse reactions.

Thus, the administration of these drugs is absolutely safe and does not require allergy tests. Today there are a huge number of different lines of fillers. The most popular are Surgiderm, Juviderm, Restylane, Teosyal, Belotero, Styllage, Princess, etc. Each line contains preparations of different densities. The choice of drug is determined by the patient’s skin type, the level of administration (dense gels are injected into deeper layers), and the assigned tasks. It should be noted that each line has its own nuances, which the doctor can feel only with long-term practice on a specific drug. Thorough knowledge of the properties and behavior of drugs, the ability to combine them for various problems allows an experienced doctor to competently correct the age-related characteristics of each patient.

With a correctly selected drug, it evenly fills the wrinkle, is not detected in any way, is not felt during palpation, and is not felt by the patient in any way. The result looks completely natural.

Contour plastic surgery is the most favorite procedure for many women, as it allows you to get an instant effect immediately after the procedure, which lasts for a year or more.

It should be noted that with repeated injections of fillers based on hyaluronic acid, the duration of the effect is significantly prolonged, which is due to the fact that these drugs stimulate the synthesis of one’s own hyaluronic acid, collagen and elastin. Thus, even with complete resorption of the gel, we observe the preservation of the result due to the “own” tissue.

How are wrinkles filled with fillers?

Before the procedure, local anesthesia with lidocaine cream is performed. In rare cases, if necessary, it is possible to perform infiltration or conduction anesthesia using injections of Ultracaine or Lidocaine. Thus, contour plastic surgery is very well tolerated by patients and is practically painless.

As mentioned above, the choice of drug depends on the depth and location of wrinkles. Consult with a specialist to determine the most suitable drug for you, depending on the severity of skin changes and the desired result.

Video about the procedure

I would like to once again draw your attention to the fact that the result of contour plastic surgery does not depend on the drug, but on the doctor’s experience and knowledge of the characteristics of a particular drug. Just as an artist’s painting depends not on the paint company, but on the artist’s professionalism.

Since it is neither practical nor necessary to work on all drugs from all companies, each doctor, as a rule, chooses several lines that he is used to working on. During the consultation, the doctor will explain in detail how to get rid of nasolabial folds and other age-related changes in facial skin using the “Contour plastic” procedure.

After the procedure, it is recommended to limit the sauna and bathhouse for a week, as well as the activity of facial movements in the correction area (smiles, kisses) for several days after the injection.

What is the essence of removing nasolabial lips with fillers?

The procedure (called contour plastic surgery) involves injecting a rather dense gel, based on hyaluronic acid, under the skin of the resulting fold. As a result, the integumentary tissue lifts and the skin fold disappears. It is important that it looks natural, without the effect of a subcutaneous “harness” or a “frozen” facial expression. Injections are performed once, and the effect lasts 6-12 months (this depends on the activity of intradermal enzymes).

What is hyaluronic acid, which forms the basis of fillers? This is a substance that is found inside the skin of each of us. It is needed so that the integumentary tissue:

  • was hydrated;
  • had a certain volume;
  • did not wrinkle under the influence of facial muscles, which at one end are woven into the dermis;
  • could function normally - since the necessary metabolic reactions will occur in it;
  • did not sag - since with a sufficient amount of hyaluronate, a sufficient number of intradermal fibers are produced that hold the skin frame.

But with age, as well as under the influence of ultraviolet rays, the amount of hyaluronic acid begins to decrease. And in places where frequently working facial muscles are located, this causes creases to appear. This becomes especially noticeable at age 40 or a little earlier. With some congenital features, nasolabial folds can appear up to 30 years of age.

Fillers that allow you to remove creases without surgery are hyaluronic acid. Its chemical structure is no different from that found in the skin. But it is still different: it contains many molecules, and they are connected in such a way that the enzyme that breaks them down cannot recognize and break down hyaluronate for a very long time. When he finally “sees” the filler, he cannot split the entire structure. It begins to “pinch off” individual molecules, and they, entering the skin, lead to its deep hydration and restoration of the inner radiance of the integumentary tissue.

All the drugs that are used in our clinic for the correction of nasolabial folds - Teosyal, Juvederm and Surgiderm - are used by cosmetologists from all European countries. They have the ability to self-distribute under skin creases. It turns out that under the most sinking area is the thickest area of the gel, and around it a zone of medium density is formed.

What are the alternatives to hyaluronic fillers?

If you ask a cosmetologist a question about how to remove deep nasolabial folds, he will say that there are various ways to do this. In addition to the introduction of hyaluronic acid fillers, non-surgical methods include laser facial resurfacing and radiolifting. Each of them has its own advantages and disadvantages:

Exercises for nasolabial folds –

Some people claim that exercise can strengthen the muscles surrounding the nasolabial folds, potentially making them less noticeable. Nevertheless, it is believed that active facial expressions associated with contractions of the facial muscles, on the contrary, lead to a deepening of the nasolabial folds. There are no clinical studies on this issue. The complex for nasolabial folds includes the following exercises, which are recommended to be done every day -

  • Pucker your lips while lifting them towards the tip of your nose and hold for 15 seconds (repeat 4-5 times).
  • Pucker your lips so they appear fuller, then pull the corners of your mouth outward and hold for 15 seconds (repeat 4-5 times).
  • With your mouth slightly open, pull the corners of your mouth with your index fingers, moving them further apart, and hold for 2-3 seconds (repeat 25 times). We hope that our article was useful to you!

Side effects of contouring

Side effects when filling wrinkles are quite rare and can be easily corrected. As a rule, they are associated with an incorrectly selected drug, violation of the technique and depth of administration, and excessive administration of the gel. The manifestation of undesirable reactions will be contouring or clumping of the drug, determining it by touch. If the procedure is carried out correctly, you should not feel the presence of the drug in the skin. In such cases, you should contact a specialist to correct the result. If necessary, rapid resorption of the gel without visible manifestations is possible with a single injection of a resorbable drug.

Filler injection

In reviews of nasolabial surgery before and after fillers, patients often mention that the procedure does not hurt, only slight discomfort is felt. This is achieved through the use of very thin needles, preliminary anesthesia and the presence of an anesthetic in the fillers (not all fillers contain an anesthetic).

The drug is administered in several stages:

  1. Selection of the type of drug (by manufacturer, density), calculation of its quantity. At this stage, the skin condition is studied and the filler injection area is determined;
  2. Anesthesia. It is carried out using local creams and gels, less often - injections of anesthetic;
  3. Introduction of filler. The cosmetologist makes several injections into each nasolabial fold;
  4. Gel distribution. After injection, the filler should be evenly distributed over the wrinkles. This is done with massaging movements. The patient may notice discomfort, but it will not hurt him;
  5. Disinfection. At the last stage, the protruding drops of blood are removed, the skin is disinfected and cleansed with chlorhexidine.

All actions take about 20-40 minutes. After the procedure, the cosmetologist will give recommendations for further care to avoid complications and not complicate the recovery period.
